Costume help!

Ok, I really need help with this now. My character, Lakira, who has been around since Early September, is still trying to come up with a decent hero costume. Granted, blue fur isn't very forgiving. So, I come to you, fellow heroes and fashion experts of Paragon, to provide me with some ideas for what to do with her costume. Lemme show you some pics of what I originally had for her. Now, any ideas you give me, feel free to use the I4 content, too. I know I will be using it for her when it comes out. I definately want to try to stick with that gold color, but feel free to suggest what you will. Thanks again for reading, and any suggestions you all make.

I was having trouble coming up with new costume ideas as well. But I decided to go with conceptual design and leave it at that. For example, Platinum Dawn:

This one is a pretty simple concept that reinforces and supports her name. Look at the graphic on her chest (it's the medieval chestpiece) and her boots (armored 5, if I remember right). The chest graphic is an arrow pointing down while the boots are arrows pointing up. In between the arrows are stars (on the legs). Concept basically denotes the dawn. Chest is the moon, boots are the sun, with the stars between them. When the moon sets and the sun rises is usually called 'dawn' in layman's terms. The red and yellow colors support that (those being the most commonly used colors for dawn, though various shades of blue and purple would also fit).

Just my view :) But I echo Xanatos' question. What's her concept? Generally speaking, I don't like overtly 'sexy' costumes (like the ones with barely any clothes on, thigh high boots with bikini, etc) but that's personal taste, I think. What kind of costume or look were you going for?

lol, yin, that's funny because it's creepy. I think what throws me off is the hair. Because when I take time to look at it, it's really not bad. I see some possibilities there.

And yeah, I'm a moron for not elaborating on the concept any. Ok.

Basically, Lakira is a warrior. She's spent most of her life training on her homeworld, becoming one of the most revered fighters in her kingdom. So she's prone to being very reserved and quiet. She's the type to sit back and watch a conversation, only jumping in when she feels necesarry. She's trying to become more friendly, and open up, though her reserved attitude still manages to show through. Back in october, she was kidnapped by a demon and had more than a couple rituals performed on her, giving her magical abilities as an illusionist, and a slight control over various energies.

If she's magical, then I'd try to stick with something that looks loose, and not very trendy. Her first costume makes her look like a fashion model with blue fur. I'd suggest trying Yin's bottom, and your second picture's top.

Sorry I'm not much help, I can't make a female toon to save my life.

Uh...got me. Guess it would depend on the origin. Science vs magic, etc have different looks (at least to me)

I seem to be solving my own problem the more I think about it. Lakira's always *until very, very recently* worn more of a stealth suit. Tight fitting, usually leather based, mostly black. this is something like she wore on her homeworld, and a few years here on earth, as she was the top stealth fighter of her unit.

This is pretty much about as complicated as I've gotten in designing a costume:

Her name's Frost Obsidian and she's one-half of my new set of Tanker twins (she's ice/ice, her twin, Flame Obsidian, is fire/energy). I went kinda deep with this in that I mixed a lot of different patterns and textures. Tribal on the gloves, 'Sharp' on the boots, blend on the legs, peak on the chest, tights with metallic boots, spiked shoulderpads, banded gloves, etc. I liked the way it came out so I'm probably going to do some more renditions.

Lerv skyhawke's version though :D
