Here's an idea...

When one is told "help me with my mission and I'll help you with yours", one usually expects that help. If RL tends to throw things at you that prevent you from helping, then perhaps you should not make the promise in the first place. Something to consider for the future.

The problem with promises to people in online games is that they unfortunately play second fiddle to, say, a pet dog going into convulsions.

Which is why it's generally a good idea to avoid promising things at all.

The good news is, by the time everyone got through with whatever they were doing, I was done with my mission and could drop in. But then we only had time for one and then split up.
