Rome Total War

I've never really enjoyed this game but I gave it a 100th try this week and now I've been spending WAY too much time playing this game.

Part of my initial problems, I think, was that I'd try to continue playing the tutorial and it's very hard. Your cities are almost unmanageable in that one, and it made me really hate the campaign map part of things. Just gimmie them armies so I can zoom in and watch the bloodshed!

I love the series but gave away Medieval, and Rome is great, but can't find the disk

Mine came on 3 disks and for a long time I thought I had lost one until I noticed that there was a 2nd disk in one of the jewel cases behind the first one.

Man, **** the Senate! They started to give me a bunch of garbage because the people liked me too much so as I was gearing up to move into Rome I get a very special mission from the senate...

"Your faction leader must commit suicide or you will be declared outlaws."

Nice...I need to dig that out, and I'm downloading the demo of Empire Total War as I type lol

I go on Rome:TW playing binges about 2-3 times a year. It's an awesome game.

Any idea if Alexander, the downloadable expansion, is worth it? I have Barbarian Invasion and have not installed it just yet.

I have all the Total War games besides the expansion to Medieval 2.. I play them randomly in small bouts. I can waste a day on one of those games.

I've tried the Demo for Empire Total War and if the load times in the demo are anything like what we'll get in retail I'm staying away from that game for quite some time.

Same here, my brothers and I would play Shogun Total War forever, I actually feel that, and Rome were the best, Medieval was hit and miss which is kinda why I felt fine giving it away
