Just wanted folks to know about www.zabasearch.com -- a search site that may contain personal information about you that you may not want available to the world wide web. An email to info@zabasearch.com should auto-reply with instructions on how to request they remove it.

Heads up. :rotti:

I'm not on there, but my brother is...

I'm stealthily avoiding detection, as a true Rogue Ninja should. :ninja:

One question.. with such a disreputable company in the first place, is even asking to be removed a smart idea? Wouldn't it just be like one of those "Click to remove me from your list" links in a spam message?

I'm on the grid, all 3 adresses that I've lived at. I must now go underground, and build a society of untraceable moleheroes. Or of course I could make a new Yahoo acount, email him from it to take me off, and burn theaccount incase of spam. Though I do have to say I'm flattered.

Weird, I'm on the list, and I'm 15, my parents are too, but my 19 year old brother, and other siblings (10 and 13) aren't. What, did my website or something pull them to me?

Huh... I'm not, but my wife is, up to the point where we got married. Does'nt have her new last name, or any of the addy's from after she moved out of college.

if this is the same web search site that I think it is. An article was linked to one fo the threads in DAZ3d and they said that to remove yourself from the search engine they would need all sorts of information. It actually sounded more dangerous to give them the information to remove oneself or to keep oneself out of the engine then to just leave things as they stood.

That is very scary. I'm not on there, which is a surpise, but my parents are. They will even do a background check for a fee. At college we use to think the Stakers Guide (aka online Phone Directory) was bad...

That site has its good parts, I found my dad (who i havent seen for least 10 years) So that site helps too.

also You can find more than that heck i could probably find a complete background search of many people...but they make you pay money for that

The information on Zabasearch is just pulled from other sources on the internet-- high school websites, government directories, spam sites you accidentally signed up for when you were younger, Amazon shipping addresses, etc.

The information is tentative at best and usually out of date. If you weren't worried before there's no reason to be concerned now. Just keep your personal information to a minimum when signing up for services on the internet.

While the rest of you have been using this for serious matters, I now know where Brian K Vaughan (writer of Runaways, Y: The Last Man, Ex Machina and the recent Ult. X-men) lives. I'm still trying to figure out where Brian Bendis lives though, too many of them...

Two of my old addresses are on there but not my current one. Cool beans.

Incidentally, this is a great site for stalkers. I was able to find the address of a particular movie actress whom I have the hots for, and thanks to Google Maps I was able to see her house and its exact location. (And no, I'm not revealing who it is, you guys can stalk your own celebrities. :p )
