As i promised to share here are the binds I've been using for my Kheldians for switching forms. Explanations will follow.
Peacebringer
G "powexecname Energy Flight"
B "targetcustomnext quantum$$targetcustomnext void$$targetcustomnext cyst"
H "powexectoggleoff Bright Nova$$powexectoggleoff White Dwarf$$gototray 1$$traysticky 1 1$$traysticky 2 1$$bind g powexecname Energy Flight"
Y "powexectoggleon Bright Nova$$gototray 4$$traysticky 1 0$$traysticky 2 0"
U "powexectoggleon White Dwarf$$gototray 5$$traysticky 1 0$$traysticky 2 0$$bind g powexecname white dwarf step
Warshade
G "powexecname shadow step"
B "targetcustomnext quantum$$targetcustomnext void$$targetcustomnext cyst"
H "powexectoggleoff Dark Nova$$powexectoggleoff Black Dwarf$$gototray 1$$traysticky 1 1$$traysticky 2 1$$bind g powexecname shadow step"
Y "powexectoggleon Dark Nova$$gototray 4$$traysticky 1 0$$traysticky 2 0"
U "powexectoggleon Black Dwarf$$gototray 5$$traysticky 1 0$$traysticky 2 0$$bind g powexecname black dwarf step"
Now you can put one of the above in a text file (e.g. "peace.txt") place it in the "piggs" directory of your CoH install and load it in game with /bindloadfile peace.txt
If you prefer the macro route, which places a button in your tray, you can use the above commands with something like:
/macro Travel "powexecname shadow step"
For those not familiar with binds, here's what they're doing. The first letter is the key to bind it too. I've picked the keys I'm comfortable with, feel free to pick another. The below examples are from the Warshade binds, please note the minor differences between each bind set as power names are different.
G "powexecname Shadow Step"
This binds your inherent travel power (in the warshade case it's named "Shadow Step" to the G key. I use the G key for travel powers for all my characters.
B "targetcustomnext quantum$$targetcustomnext void$$targetcustomnext cyst"
This is meant for scanning for and targetting those pesky enemies of Kheldians. I haven't tested it extensively and there may be a more elegant way, but it's worked for me pretty well. Might be better served as a macro instead of wasting one of your keys on it. If you use your "B" key for first-person toggle, which I don't, then bind to something else.
H "powexectoggleoff Dark Nova$$powexectoggleoff Black Dwarf$$gototray 1$$traysticky 1 1$$traysticky 2 1$$bind G powexecname shadow step"
This switches you to human form by first switching the Nova power off, then making sure that Dwarf form is off. Then it switches your tray setup to the tray "1" and tray "2". I keep my human form powers in these first 2 trays. That final "bind G" just makes sure your inherent travel power is binded like above. I'll explain why it unbinds a bit further down.
Y "powexectoggleon Dark Nova$$gototray 4$$traysticky 1 0$$traysticky 2 0"
This turns on your Nova form (with the "Y" key) and switches your tray setup to tray 4. Note that tray 4 is where I keep my Nova powers (tray 3 i tend to populate with temp and Vet powers). Adjust as needed.
U "powexectoggleon Black Dwarf$$gototray 5$$traysticky 1 0$$traysticky 2 0$$bind g powexecname black dwarf step"
This uses the "U" key to turn on your Dwarf power. It switches your tray to show tray 5 (where i keep my Dwarf powers). The final step "Bind G.... black dwarf step" bind your travel key to use the Dwarf's inherent travel power instead of your own. Omit this if you don't want to use it. That is why the human form above switches you back to your human form inherent.
Questions? Suggestions? If you need help customizing this to suit your purposes, let me know.
I'd also like to officially congratulate those of you playing your first Kheldian. They are indeed different and I hope you all enjoy their versatility.
