Merry Christmas! Well, because you are going to be gone I thought I would post this in the hopes that you see it before you go.

I was your Secret Santa! I was planing on posting it tomorrow, because I will be in ghostland until like the 26th I would guess.

I got a hold of a good artist friend of mine, and asked her to do me a great drawing of one of your guys. She said, No Problem. Then everyone else said, I give you lots of money, make me something cool too! So she is back logged.

So I got another wonderful commitioned artist to do some art for you while we wait for her to finish.

So, today I'm playing a lowbie toon on Freedom, a controller. I get in a PuG to do a few missions and it becomes apparent that several of the members are very new to the game, and/or self-absorbed.

We're waiting outside a mission for one player to at least zone from King's Row to Steel Canyon before we enter. Why? Not really sure. It was on Heroic, not like the mobs would be reduced further or anything.

So the guy goes from King's Row to Skyway City. He apologizes, says he's new to the game. That's fine - everybody has to start somewhere.... but he takes forever in Skyway City. Several minutes, at least. "What are you doing?" we ask him of him, and he replies, "The train won't let me back on." I figure out the issue - he's still in the 'exit area'. "You have to use the other doors, you're at the exit probably." Still, minutes later, he's not in Steel Canyon. Okay, summing up, he ran to the other train, the Green Line, because he thought the Yellow Line was broken. Whatever, he's there finally. I tell him about there being the entrances and exits to the train station, and he apologizes to everyone for making us wait. A little apology goes a long way, you know.

We are in the mission, it's going mostly smoothly, a couple deaths when someone gets a little too much aggro, but then again Trolls hit like freaking trucks in the early levels so it's understandable. A scrapper dies. "Can anyone rez me?" he asks. "No," everyone says. "What do you need to make an awaken?" "1 green." So I go over to give him a green. He has gifts turned off, so I can't give it to him. I try to open a trade - he declines. He refuses to resurrect until I apologize for saying that he probably should try to get the other major defense power for Super Reflexes. Level 14, all he has is Focused Fighting. Seriously. Well, rookie mistake, I was nice about it. I tell him that I wasn't insulting him, I just gave him advice - he wouldn't die as often if he had more defense, and he'd really start tearing through some mobs since he wouldn't have to Rest very often when they don't hit him.

He refuses to rez until I 'apologize' for hurting his feelings. I ask for the star, get it, and kick him. I pass the star back, and the leader laughs about it - he didn't want to be 'the bad guy'.

The kicked scrapper starts sending me abuse that is especially trivial. How trivial? He is sending me movie spoilers from movies I'd never watch anyway.

Scrapper: "You like Harry Potter?"
Me: "No."
Scrapper: "Well in Goblet of something-or-other [ spoiler ] HA HA HA HA HA"
Me: "Please, stop. This is too much."
Scrapper: "You shouldn't have kicked me then. BAMBI'S MOTHER DIES"
Me: "What movie was she in?"
Scrapper: "What?"
Me: "What movie was she in?"
Scrapper: "Who?"
Me: "Bambi's mother."
Scrapper: "Bambi"
Me: "No, Bambi's mother. What movie was she in?"
Scrapper: "Bambi"
Me: "You're not listening. What movie was she in?"
Scrapper: "BAMBI!"
Me: "I'm not talking about Bambi, I'm talking about his mother."
Scrapper: "B-A-M-B-I"
Me: "B-A-M-B-I-S-M-O-T-H-E-R"
Scrapper: "What level do you get capes?"
Me: "20. You get the mission from the city rep in Atlas Park. Or the vet reward for single-shoulder capes, don't remember when you get those, but it's more than 12 months I think."
Scrapper: "thanks"
Me: "You're welcome. Happy Thanksgiving."
Scrapper: "I'M JEWISH YOU RETARD"
Me: "Sound like a jive turkey to me."
Scrapper: "I DON'T CELEBRATE THANKSGIVING I CELEBRATE HONKA"
Me: "Okay then. Happy Honka."

You all know the old saying that the mail must go through no matter what? Well that does not hold true here. All my Christmas shopping and shipping has been fouled up by the weather. (They closed the main west to east route last Saturday and finally reopened yesterday) And for this I must apologize to those who had been on my lists to receive my annual holiday cards. I have errored on the side of my own personal safety in even reaching the mailboxes down the street.
