I'd say it will all get better, but I can't guarantee it.

Well, as long as I've got my right hand I'll always have a relatively positive outlook on life. Pets and wife dead? Family incinerated in hellish nuclear fires? Good ol' Righty will always be there.

I've also had a terrible 2 months, my grandpa died and it looks like my dog has only a couple more days left to live too. Plus being long distance from my girlfriend is tearing our relationship apart little by little, and the prospect of me getting a decent paying job so I can move closer to her is evaporating. Life sucks hard.

On a different spin, for drawing, one should practice with the left from time to time...Raz... :P

I've said this before, 2008 just SUCKS with personal commitments and life...even my friends' lives!

From one that is suffering, as per earlier post, just hang in there! You too Bolt, I've had my share of Long-distance romances and they are not easy. E-mail and text with any voice communications you can get as often as possible.

2008 has been... weird. And is steering into depression (the personal kind, not only the global kind).

Huh.

I've had a great 2008.

Here's to next year, boyos!

Aside from a few days or weeks here and there, this year has left me out to dry. (like a sun baked corpse) about a month ago my company cut about 1/3 of its staff granted a lot of them worked on the older platforms, but they also took, my contractors that have kept this site going for the past 5 years... the raise that was promised has not come though, and family issues that I cannot even begin to get into.

Best part of the year was a 1-2 week period in June when some friends stayed here and kept my mind off things.

Good By 2008, do not let the door hit you in the a$$ on the way out.

The worst parts of 2008 that I can think of were getting my tonsils removed in January and braces in March.

I guess I have to add due to the Sh1t Happens, attitude, I have also grown and have accepted responsibility for many of my actions. I had planned on having Peter pan Syndrome until my final days but alas, this has only accelerated my change into my parents…

I believe I have generated enough good karma that the next year(s) will continue to get better I refuse to give up an optimistic approach as I have been down the dark road before there is no point on dwelling on things that only lead to depression.

I did reach a long term goal this year of owning my own home, next year’s goal is keeping it lol…

All I can do is think positive things and accept the things that I cannot change. And continue to make a positive difference in the lives of people around me.

Would it help any if I sent you some more Mountain Dew?

Same here, hence my silence on these threads.

All I can say Charon is to try hanging in there. Do what you need to do and just keep trudging through it. It only gets worse when you stop, and then you're stuck in a rut on top of it.

Haha, absolutely. Mountain Dew, I'm convinced, could only aid in any situation.

Nevertheless didn't it cost you like fifty bucks to ship the first time?

Sorry to hear about the troubles man. I really need to get on AIM more often so I can keep up with these things.

Just like last time (3 years ago or so?) this will also pass. Agonizingly slow I'm sure, but it'll pass. Hang in there bud.

This too shall pass.

I think all of us have gone through something like this. You'll be fine, bud. :) Stay strong and move forward.

Well, if you lived closer I'd offer to take you out for a few rounds at a pub or bar, but then you'd probably complain about how awful American beer is.

Still, something different to take the mind of the situation. Hope things start looking up for ya man. I'm on aim 90% of the time if you ever need to vent to someone you can't feel emotionally guilty for dumping on since neither of us are likely to see the other in person anytime soon.

Gold Rush

Yeah, Charon. Just vent here or to anyone of us. I know how it's like. People (friends) don't seem to want to hear you like a broken record. You always gotta listen "to them" but not burden them. They feel better around you if you are humorous than the times you sit on your hands. Not all friends are like this, mind you.Sometimes they surprise you, but you don't wanna lay it on them every hour of the day.
