Hey there PCity.com .... :eyebrow: ... ahem, cohguru gang!

I haven't been around for a while and wanted to check in and see how things are around here with everyone. As far as ole Imp here, I graduated from college back in May and a few earlier this week was offered a position on staff in Portland, OR with Chi Alpha (a Pentecostal Christian university organization/ministry). However, now comes the tricky part of raising the support & budget, but that's a whole 'nuther can or worms I'm sure you all could care less about! Hahaha.

As of late, I've been getting involved with the SCA in the area and having a blast. I miss COH, but am thinking - thus far, at least - that the SCA's a bit better hobby. I'm learning stuff, getting good exercise, and not a shut up in my room anti-socialite... all the things I was ending up being for a while towards the end of my COH time.

Still, I sometimes want to come back just to mess around and arrest some baddies, but I'm not too sure if I can spare the $30 for a game card at the moment... c'est la vei.

Enough of the Imp-update, though. How have things been around here? Is the arena working out or has it just messed things up? Anything promising looking in the next issue?

Welcome back!

As you might be able to spot through the forum, Arena didn't cause as much as a problem as the drama that's been going on lately here. I know nothing about the next issue except we're getting Sonics and Achery both as a range and a support power.

I was in the SCA for a while when I was a kid, but haven't been in a long time. Don't really have the time. It was a lot of fun, though. It's nice to see another convert. :D

I'd ask about everybody, but even if you're in the Texas chapter, probably the folks who were in the SCA when I was there are long gone as well...

Oh yeah? Right on - you'll hafta email me with some cool places to check out. I know there are like hundreds of them in town, so I could use some pointers on good coffeeshops (with WiFi, preferabley) and resteraunts and the like.
