I case you don't know what Hulu (http://www.hulu.com/) is, it's a website that offers free, ad-supported streaming video of TV shows and movies from NBC, FOX, and many other networks and studios. As of now they have a pretty good selection, but it's getting better all the time as well.Even now though, they have: 30 Rock, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Battlestar Galactica, Firefly, Heroes, The Sara Conner Chronicles the Colbert Report, Daily Show, The Simpsons, Arrested Development, Family Guy, The Office, Saturday Night Live, American Dad!, and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and tons of old TV shows. It is also the original host of Joss Whedon's Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog.
This is what's super cool about it though: I found the old live-action TV show the Tick on the site, now Hulu will not only let me watch the show in a cool looking browser environment there, but it will let me embed episodes to let other people see - in your blog or whatever.
Ain't that cool?

Yeah I love that site. I've watched Family Guy, Drawn Together and some of the 1970's era Doctor Who on there. The problem is the site keeps getting moved around.
EDIT: Oops, different site then the one I mentioned. I'll have to get an account on this site though, it does have stuff I want to see.

Japanese subbed version of Death Note? I'm sold. That's absolutely badass. Also It's Always Sunny. Sweet ****.
Not interested unless they have House D:
Also, couldn't you just have shown me this thread instead of badgering me to watch It's Always Sunny, Krypto? -.-
edit: awesum dey haz Haus :3

Hulu would be cooler if they focused less on clips and more on full episodes. Last time I checked for The Office, they only had season 4 up. There was no going back to watch older episodes, but instead they had about a hundred clips. Annoying. STC is far better in terms of variety (although not necessarily in terms of reliability).

I wish they had all of the House episodes.

I think it's pretty good, I mean I watched Dr. Horrible there which led to the SNL stuff, lots of the old, and digital shorts. Then I stopped using it for now, but they are working hard to give it lots of tools, like I think the turning off the lights thing is pretty cool.

Hulu would be good if you weren't all stuck in the muck that is the DMCA. For now Hulu is the ass that is the tagline for American companies copyrighting air.

I was thoroughly against Hulu when I first heard about it on G4. It was being made because they didn't gain a profit from YouTube and originally they were gonna charge a bit as they(actually I think it was mainly NBC) was upset with the price point set on iTunes not profiting them enough. Though now that it's free and they have many tools I'm not as upset, and they have plenty of the shows and clips to make me happy enough.
I wish they had all of the House episodes.
Me too, I just finished season 2 on DVD. Don't want to have to go rent S3 and S4 ._.

I actually had never heard of this site before now... but after successfully using it to finally catch up with "Heroes" I have to agree that it is, indeed, cool.
And I loved the live-action "The Tick" series. Gonna definitely be watching that soon.
Thanks!

No one use Surfthechannel.com (http://www.surfthechannel.com/)?
Not quite as user-friendly as Hulu, but it's got a ton more movies and shows.

Both are alright... but I'm kind of annoyed as neither one is running season 3 of Airwolf. Hulu.com has seasons 1 and 2, and Surfthechannel.com has seasons 1, 2, and 4. Also, Surfthechannel.com does not have Family guy, making it inferior in spite of having more shows.

Also, while just browsing surfthechannel.com, I noticed a minor slip in quality control. While checking out a few episodes of The Adventures of Superboy, I watched a couple episodes and they're in English... season 1, episode 21 (Mutant) is in Spanish. What the hell??

I love Hulu, I finally got to see every episode of Firefly in their entirety...also, Hulu needs to get HBO in on this, I want to see Entourage.

People still like Family Guy?

Surfthechannel is pretty unofficial and disorganized. I doubt there's any sort of quality control.

This. STC doesn't host videos themselves, they link you to other sites that do. Beyond Hulu and YouTube, most of those sites are in China, the reliability of which will vary.

Exactly. They aren't accountable for anything.

So... I decided I hate surfthechannel.com and love hulu.com, but mostly because I watched Disaster Movie on STC.

Sadly, and I hate to admit it, I did laugh twice during the movie... once was at myself, though.
