CoH Comic Update!

Here's (http://www.newsarama.com/Top_Cow/CoH/CoH_01.htm) the scoop. It gives a small preview (cover, and a couple of pages from the actual comic). All I have to say is that this is going to be awesome. The art work is great. The story is great. And I'm on a cliffhanger at the moment. I can't wait until this gets shipped.

The cover reminds me of an old JLA cover. I had no idea Manticore was exactly Green Arrow in a lion costume. I hope Waid works to make their personalities a little more unique than that.

Waid nailed something I had been thinking about for awhile, specifically how creepy the hospital teleporter system is. The guy starting to turn into a skeleton then reappearing completely whole in the hospital was a neat touch. And an idea I had wanted to flesh out a bit. Damn you Mark Waid!!! (Why am I always typing this?)

I agree 8. I think when villians hits they will shut off the hospital teleporters, and our powers and let the new villians reak havoc on us. (Or sumthing along those lines).


I always thought the comic shoulve focused on Statesman and the gang rather than some character we dont know of. My jaw actually dropped when I saw the pic of manticore, states, synapse and all! :chuckle:


Also on a side note Ive always loved Manticores costume!

The only (minor) thing that bugs me is seeing COH Heroes using powers and abilities that players don't have access to or don't work the way they do in game... granted the comic allows room for more artistic freedom, but it's like a tease, IMHO.

Just as long are there aren't toooooooooooooooo many inconsistencies between the game and the comic, I'll be happy.

If CoV in anyway allows (player) Villians to disrupt my NON-PVP perferred playstyle, I'll be quitting CoH out of protest. I refuse to bow down to the aggrivation of immature and annoying opponents. I deal with enough bull**** at work...

1. I thought Sister Psyche was in Aurora's body. She's back in game as the redhead?

Go see her on Test, shes back in her old body and Calvin Scott is gone along with Malaise, Aurora is now the trainer
