Wow. Holy ****ing God. Do I love this show.
So I just saw the series finally, and as always it blew me away.
It's a pity my favorite cartoon is now retired.
:grr:
So who else watches/watched it?
What's your favorite part?
Have a favorite episode?
Which bending style would you want to have or see yourself as?
Am I the only one crazy enough to try bending philosophy in real life?
Come on people, I need to keep my Avatar fix coming from some where...

I liked it. I hated all the kiddies that ragged on it that just thought it was taking everything from Anime, yet they were doing stuff Chinese.
I loved the characters and the story of the show, it just went together really well. I want to get the DVD's of the show but they're REALLY expensive if you want to get it in seasons. (Books) Maybe they'll do a full collection with everything at a cheaper price in a few months, maybe for Christmas.
I'm still shocked they ended it. When I went to the New York Comic Con all I saw were tons of kids decked out in Avatar costumes waiting to get into the Nick panel. I stuck up a conversation with some of them and they told me that the coming season was the last one.
It's good to see it go out on top and not outlast it's welcome. I thought the final seasons of a lot of shows did just that, so maybe it was good that they told their story and got it done with.

I would catch some episode here & there but didn't really get to see it.
Ordered the 3 "Books" (waiting on last one) DVDs I'm about 12 episodes deep & its a nicely done show.
I'll have to renew COH/V just to make a Earth Bend-controller.
I'm not sure but its just 3 seasons of this show then ? (water, earth, fire ?)

What a way to end a show though, huh?
I felt like every cliffhanger the show introduced was ended well, except for Ursa(Zuko's mom), but that was easily forgivable since they really crammed a lot into those last few episodes.
While I'm excited as hell to get the last book on DVD, I'm a little worried about the live-action movie they're planning.

Yeah, it's just those 3. It would have been nice to see an Air book, perhaps after the war to catch a glimpse of Aang rebuilding the Air Nomads.

I have them all on DVD or on pre-order. Excellent show.

Zuko was my favorite character, I just always thought he was such a badass if he could ever get his mind right. That last fight with his sister showed just how far he had progressed and how much he had changed. Bending lightning just looks so badass.
I also liked his Uncle, he always cracked me up.

Great show! I loved it. Toph was my favorite caracter and I love earthbending. I think it's rather interesting that if you were a really talented bender, you could learn to bend things that aren't simply your element. Ozai and Azula could throw lightning and Toph coould bend sand and later metal.

This would have been great, to find out the Air Nomads are well Nomads. Surprise, turns out they hate fighting and are just hiding until the war is over. Since they have no attachment, it makes sense they never got involved. I'm still convinced the Sand Nomads are Air Benders rather than Earth Benders regardless of what is offical.
The real problem I see is who would become the new villians? A few generals not content with Zuko's philosophies or claim to power? Few shows make a solid transition when you change baddies. If you ask me the transision/ending was a bit too quick, but then again the Fire Nation seemed a bit over nieve at trusting their leadership.
No, I'm much more glad that there was a clear story and plotline to be told then stuck with it. Of course its sad, since there is so little quality programing but most shows overstay their welcome and don't bow out gracefully, especially if its a kids show. For instance this Live Action movie just smells of poor exec planning for money.
Oh and check this out: Elemental Personality Assessment (http://www.geocities.com/bryancweber/EPA/bcwepa.html?200819)
Its not a real Avatar test to see what nation you belong too, but I think its cool.
