Oh, come now. You are goading for a set-up! :p You MUST be.

Will Wright. Mister "Maxis". Mister "Sim-City". Mister "Sim-Ant". Mister "Sim-City 3000".

Will "The Sims" Wright! :P He makes all the girl gamers swoon with every new realease of "The Sims" and guy/control freaks pass the time building virtual cities where one can release mass-destruction in the Sim-City series. :p

Nope. I know the name now that you reference him to games... but I've never played them.

So why the hype for Spore?

So why the hype for Spore?

Well, the locking them in a room is a true joy

Anyways, Spore is creating a whole civilization from amoeba sized to full on civilization, including immense customization, fully designing the creatures in every stage, the buildings of their cities, vehicles, etc. Also, there will be, at the end of a development of the civilization, the ability to travel space(online) and visit other worlds, owned by other players, and interact with, trade with, destroy, and even if they're not online :)

It's like Intelligent Design, except the creator is a cruel sadist, who twists and turns the universe and its inhabitants into vile and miserable animals. So kinda like the real world, only this time you get to be the cruel sadist.
