My girlfriend just got a MP3 player for her birthday and I've been working on getting everything going. Now, she's had a lot of **** from her CD-ROM lately. I figured I'd solved that when I found 3 different versions (!) of Starforce on her computer (may it burn in hell).
Now, I come home from work today and it turns out after the two first music CDs, her laptop simply wouldn't rip any more songs. She's using Windows Media Player for it.
Whenever we put in a music CD, it just spins around for ages. Sometimes it starts up Media Player and starts ripping, bu before the first song is finished, it either says the CD might be dirty or that there's no CD in the machine.
Now, the weird part, is that both DVD-movies and DVD recvordable CDs work just fine. Only standard CDs, both data-CDs and music CDs, have stopped working.
Anyone have any idea what the fault might be?
