I've made a couple of rants in the films section about not liking it when Hollywood redefines a hero's look, but that aside, I'm not especially resistant to it in the comics themselves. I was wondering, if you were given the chance to remake a character's look for a comic --or even television or movie appearance, what would you change?
I'll pick a couple characters each week, each from a different comic company but try to keep them within a specific theme or something... pick one or both and show me how you think they can be better. Use any medium you like... draw, photoshop, screenshot from COH's character creator, Heromachine or that new Timm style hero creator, or whatever else you can come up with.
Let's start with a couple of patriot looking characters:
