Hey there.

I have started a new webpage about all my stuff (rpgs, interests, etc) and while I love the domain name I choose, I am drawing a blank on a look or feel for the main page, which would then link off to the various sections (each with it's own theme, those I have :) ).

The name of the site is...

www.principia-arcadia.net

I know I want something classy, maybe even Tolkienesque? Is that right? No, that doesn't explain it at all... but you get the idea right?

Any suggestions or cool web pages you can point me at to get inspired?

Thanks in avance :)

The Philosophiae Naturalis Principia Mathematica (Latin: "mathematical principles of natural philosophy", often Principia or Principia Mathematica for short) is a three-volume work by Isaac Newton published on July 5, 1687. Probably the most influential scientific book ever published, it contains the statement of Newton's laws of motion forming the foundation of classical mechanics as well as his law of universal gravitation.

Arcadia is a poetical name for fantasy land (having more or less the same notation as Utopia ), named after the Greek land.

Esbat,

Thanks for the breakdown :) I was aware of it, which is why I choose it (Gotta love the Wikipedia! :D )

What I am looking for are links to webpages or ideas of what would look classy on such a webpage (my webpage specifically)

Any of those? :hope: :hope: :hope:

Sounds steampunk.

Steampunk maybe :)

The point is, I am looking for links to classy, well designed, not high tech or too modern webpages (or pictures/desktop themes) so I can get some inspiration for my master design.

Anything?

The Webby Award (http://www.webbyawards.com/) nominees might be worth checking out.
