New MP3 player

so, my little sister dumped her Ipod in the bathtub O_o and the warranty won't cover it. she has said in the past she liked my old zen micro, so i'm getting a new battery for it for her. the real question is, what mp3 player should i get for myself? realistically i only have a few qualifications for it.


must play video with a decent sized screen
must recieve at least FM stations
preferably be able to play podcasts


i've been saving for this for a while now so the cost really isn't a major issue.

i'll admit i'm not a huge fan of apple and its various players/software. my bro has an iTouch and likes it, but i'm not really sure its for me.

does anyone have a zune? i was looking at best buy and saw one and played with it for a little bit. not sure about the sound quality from the jack. i've had some bad players over the years with some terrible headphone jacks so i'd like to be a little sure before i run off and buy one.

i'll consider anything at this point. thanks!

I'd go with a standard iPod, I have a 60GB one right now and for music and VIDEO it's not enough space. I have over 3000 songs along side four movies [which change all the time], every season of South Park, a season of Doctor Who, every season of Scrubs besides 1 and 5, both seasons of Spaced and some other television show thats escapes me at the moment.

Anyway.. the point is, for portable multimedia the standard Ipod is great because of it's size capacity.. and the ones with MORE space than mine are cheaper than mine was when I bought it. The screen may look small.. but somehow everday at lunch I am able to watch a episode of South Park completely unphased by it's size.

Seriously.. normal iPod... none of this Touch or Nano crap, is great.

The big Zunes are like 80gb and have larger screens than iPods...

I'd go either Zune or iPod Touch.

so i'm pretty sure i'm going to be getting the zune 80 gb. i figure that will hold 90% of what i want on it and some more stuff beyond. thanks for the input. i'll let everyone know which one i eventually decide on.

ok, so i ordered the 80 gb zune. its not here yet, just thought i'd post this in the form of an update. maybe some pretty pictures when i get it.
