Ok, finally, after years, and long over due, this week I am finally getting my car and my license, and to enjoy, and mark it, I want to make a disk of the best driving songs. I know that it partially depends on taste, but I want to hear your opinions.
As I'm in a rush, I'll only start it with one, but will build that list on this post as you guys post.
You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet
Drivers High
L'arc En Ciel (maybe, though I do kinda like understanding what I'm listening to ;))
Fountains Of Wayne - Survival Car
Fountains of Wayne - Stacey's Mom (thought I'd add it anyways, just fun too)
All - Hot Rod Lincoln (though any version of Hod Rod Lincoln probably fits)
Wall Of Voodoo - Mexican Radio
R.E.M. - End Of The World
No Use For A Name - The Answer Is Still No
Presidents Of The United States of America - My Mach 5
Golden Earring - Radar Love
Deep Purple - Highway Star

And let us not forget War - Low Rider

Great list, Burbs. Warning: "Radar Love" will make you drive at least 5 MPH faster, guaranteed. Use caution
A couple of Rush songs. First "Driven" is a great tune (here it is on Youtube from "Live in Rio", featuring a wicked cool bass segment (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=83tHU40fgtc)).
The other?
Well-weathered leather
Hot metal and oil
The scented country air
Sunlight on chrome
The blur of the landscape
Every nerve aware
"Red Barchetta" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O_Rxjs9ZdtE), of course

Great so far guys, gonna get to downloading them tomorrow, btw if you have the time and don't mind, look them up on YouTube(especially if potentially less known) as it would help me distinguish faster.

Second Metallica!
Wake me up before you go go by Wham! (Definately will make you look gayer than you want, but everyone likes this song in their heart!)
Be quiet and Drive by Deftones.

The one song that I love to listen to while driving is "Just one fix" by Ministry
The tempo of it and the heaviness is just perfect.
Depends. :D
I've got everything from mixed CDs to soundtracks. Whatever I'm in the mood for.

I still have my old iPod.
That thing is old... the battery has been worthless for I don't know how long. It only works when plugged into something.

I always enjoy listening to Bruce Hornsby and the Range when I drive. Particularly, Mandarin Rain. The tempo of the music just reminds me of the dividing lines on a highway passing by.

can't beat Long Train Runnin' and China Grove by The Doobie Brothers - turn it up loud and watch out for radar traps!
