Hi gang!
I got my Issue 11 today and I like what I see. The Guest shots are nice and somewhat comical. I can see how this will lead to Issue 13 and focusing on the big heroes. I do hope Warwitch and gang are not totally forgotten.

I haven't seen an issue since like 6 or something. Part 2 of the Trial was the last issue I got.

I actually look foward to the issues. Since the Jurry the story has become quite enjoyable. Kinda knew what Horus was though already...good read.
When Dark Horse takes over it looks like they are going to put Statesman into the story. (based on some of the cover art) Man I hope they continue to do cameos of actual gamers. Makes the experience more enjoyable. Not to mention I'd still have a chance to get Veiky Boy in. :)

Newsarama just put up an article (http://www.newsarama.com/Top_Cow/CoH/CoH_01.htm) about the new series, I'm really like the look of it.

Got mine today. It has gotten much better since, I think 7, which I threw away halfway through reading. The jokes are really good, which is a giant improvement on the first few issues.
The best change: they are actually using player-heroes that look like they were created by an actual human being and not the "Random" button.
I loved the "creators in the shower" sequence. Somebody obviously had fun with that.
Now the bad:
Apex still has way too many inconsistencies. The personality's actually pretty well done, but he's still just a guy in tights. Also, for a guy who is theoretically hispanic, he's one pale dude.
War Witch could have used a little more explanation about her coven before they killed it off. I think this may have been an unavoidable problem with the comic coexisting as a marketing entity, but seems like we could have gotten a few lines as to the general history other than something about them being War Witch's only family.
Overall, the whole thing feels like a throwaway. There's no emotional weight, and what little exists, like the death of the coven, fades away pretty quickly.
Whenever player characters show up, they have the same three personalities: the serious guy, the tough guy and the sexy vamp. I know they're essentially throwaways, but come on. (After a reread, it's not that bad. But the lines are really forced.)
On a side note, it's nice to see that Back Alley Brawler is still black. I remember being accused of being a racist on the Pcity boards when I stated that fact.
The fanfic in this issue is actually pretty good. "The Skein of Things" is at least. That hasn't been the case in the past.

Damn.
I missed Issue 10 and the whole Kheldian thing... :(
Stupid timecard taking forever to get here.
I dug the whole "What love triangle?" bit... :)

Just so this isn't just another "I did'nt get issue 10" post.... okay, that's really all I can think of. But I hope the habit of throwing cameo's of in-game players continues!

Much better than the crap I was getting before the account deactivation. Still far from worth actually buying, but Mark Waid is here soon. I can't wait.
