[Masked Revenger]

So, last night, for some reason still beyond me, I was inspired to make a character named Johny Atomic. I had no idea other than the name, so I went with it. Obviously, with that name, only one power set fit, so he's a Rad/Rad defender. Then, I became inspired to make the costume look like something from a 50's Atomic Space Invaders movie, which in turn inspired the character's background. So... I give you, Johny Atomic!

Dr. Jonathon Adam was one of the scientists on the Manhattan Project near the end of World War II. During one of his experiments, he accidentally opened a rift in space, and was sucked through to the world of Darr. There, he fought giant alien monsters, rescued princesses, and gained the uniform and weapons of the Royal Guard of Darr, becoming that worlds greatest champion. So grateful were the Darrites, the even gave him a potion that extended his life by 100 times. Eventually, he found a way to return to Earth. Back, he continues his life of adventure as Johny Atomic, while trying to acclimate himself to modern American culture.

I figured I could open this thread for other's to post alts they've created they think are cool. :)

Here's my Golden Age style hero. Miracle Ace.

A former WW2 pilot, who was downed in the suprise attack on Paragon City harbor by the nazi super soldiers.

His fighter plane was destroyed, but he survived in a strange coma surrounded by an energy stasis field. He awoke more than half a century later in present time to find that not only had he not aged a day, but he had powers over energy.

After a failed attempt by terrorists and athiests leaves George W. Bush crippled, a new secret serum is administered in hopes of regenerating his body. The serum causes him to mutate, giving him phenominal strength and resistance. But, since there are no laws for supers in public office, he graciously steps down and moves to Paragon City, "where he can do the most good" as Super-Dubya!

This is my main on Virtue. He is an Energy Blast pure and simple. He basicly was "gifted" by the Holy Spirit to go into the world and be an example of a Godly righteous man before his peers.

This is my Mutant Tanker with Inv/Energy Melee on Virtue. He is only 15 in game and a new Christian. He was around for the invasion as a sidekick to one of the fallen heroes of the war. In a burst of sorrow and pain his powers sparked and completed his mutation in an instant. Now patroling Paragon City as a true hero to take on all villian and gangs to rid the street of all evil.

This is a female charactor that I play, she is a Science Tanker with the Fiery Aura/Fiery melee. A scientist that worked for Crey Industries researching fire and bio-chemistry, testing on animals. When it worked Crey found out they tried to take her research. She ran with all her stuff in her arms and fell. Now with her new powers she is being hunt and hunting Crey.

Coolness depends on your perspective (namely he's a Dark/Dark Defender and the hardest charatcer I've ever had). This here is Ol' Iron Rod, the Devil's Accountant. I mentioned him in over in the Villains thread (but I have a new idea Mastermind) before I realised that because he only collected souls already damned (ergo the souls of Villains) he was, by default, a 'hero' (Okay Anti-Hero).

Origin story goes along the line of him being the greatest accountant of the 15th century. So good was he that he boasted that no account was beyond his abilities to balance, even that of Old Nick himself. Well the devil makes work for idle hands and boast in equal measure and his challenge was accepted. But there is no trick in the arcane art of accountancy that he didn't also invent and everything Iron Rod tried failed. So he was put to work on the Satan's crew balancing the books more directly in the collections department. Now the devil he deals in souls not money and so Ol' Iron Rod was given command of a Black Merchantman, the Sable Skeptic, and sent to gather the souls of those on Hell's Account; the Pirates and Brigands of the world. For centuries he scourged the brothers of every coast, the Skeptic reportedly sunk numerous times only to reappear again a few months later. Last recorded sighting was in the late 18th century and then nothing... Until now. Now Ol' Iron Rod has appeared on the streets of Paragon City collecting the souls of criminals of all stripes.

This is, of course, the sort of background you get when you watch Monty Python's Meaning of Life and Ghost Ship in quick succession...

Attatched is a picture of my newest alt, Navy Harrier. Yeah, I got bored and decided to go with an ex-military type. Backstory is an old navy guy. Ex-marines, then worked on harrier jsets till his carrier was attacked, giving him a limp. While consulting he heard about a top secret navy project, he signed up, and had a bio armor attatched to him that can be retracted for day to day life, but also give him invlnerability, and rejuvinated strength for karate.

Okay, finally, I captured some pictures of most of my alts. Most of these I don't play, which is why I don't have pictures of them. Although some of them you may have seen before. I usually posted the whole selection screen, though (I don't know why I do that...) instead of editing the pic to make it fit the screen better.

This is my oldest alt, and one I've had since Beta. I never play him, so he's only level 6, but as you can guess, he's a Spines/Regen Scrapper. He's based on a Toon character I created.

The highest level alts I have are Alan and Rachel, who just recently joined Shades of Grey Investigations. They're based on my stories of Alan Midnight, Matrix Investigator. I sort of wanted to wait until Pistols and trenchcoats came out before levelling Alan, but I decided to go ahead and play him as an AR/Dev Blaster. Rachel, or R4-CHL, is Alan's secretary and partner, an android with Claws and Invulnerability. He and Rachel are about level 12 now.

Basically, Alan is a Cyberspace detective from the future, but in the style of the old pulp novel detectives like Sam Spade and Mike Hammer. In fact, the relationship between Alan and Rachel is very much based on Mike Hammer and Velda. If Velda had claws and an indestructable android body. :D

The third teammate to Jade Dragon and Blue Diamond, as some of you may already know, is Michelle Betrand, an archeologist who gained the powers of Genie Gold. In the original story, her powers were given to a dog, who took the name Element Dog. As CoH didn't allow either shapeshifting or dogs, however, I decided to give the powers to Michelle, a supporting character in the original Crime Fighters' origin story.

Unfortunately, as shapeshifting isn't yet possible in the game, I'm still reluctant to level her, and so she's stuck around level 6. I kind of like the new concept I've come up for her, I made her Illusion/Rad, as she would be more likely to try and use her power at a distance, being reluctant to enter into hand to hand combat like Element Dog. Plus, the cloud-like effects she could generate by shapechanging the air around her would fit with the "genie" theme.

And while I'm talking about the Crime Fighters, I might as well include Silver Bolt, who will be my villain character. He is the Crime Fighter's main rival, and got the fourth of the powers. (The ability to throw lightning, as well as form shields)

Also, although this was too many pics for the last post, here is Alita Cutey Rei, who I've also mentioned on the board before. I've never played her, so she's still in Outbreak, but she's based on a wrestler character I created for the PS2 WWE Smackdown game. In all honesty, she's a one trick pony, the joke is how tiny and slender she is, compared to the big, muscular wrestlers. In CoH, though, tiny little Anime inspired girls are around every corner. So I probably haven't played her because she's lost a lot of her uniqueness.

And I'll go ahead and throw in Ampersand (based on the French comic strip Asterix) and my characters for the Gauntlet Legends supergroup (although it seems to have fallen by the wayside) as well. I'd kind of like to play Green Archer once the Archery power set comes out, although she may get GenericHeroed.

He is a Earth Tanker all the way. His story is that his mother was one of those people you see floating in the green cloud the CoT uses to convert people. Well his mother was already the wife to one of the "earth" Mages. The CoT were trying to create a being to combat the rising hero problem, but they were interpted by one such hero. So the process yeilded a short old looking child. Did I mention that he is only 18 years old? Dwarfkin was one of those baddies you could get a mission to try and stop. Well Dwarfkin was give a hero hit that lead him to God's Armor and in the process of trying to kill him got captured. God's Armor kept him and talked to him for several months before Dwarfkin started to understand that he was just being used by the CoT, broke out and went on a rampage killing any CoT he could find. Again God's Armor stopped him and brought him back to his hide out. After a few more months of talking with him, Dwarfkin gave his life to Christ. Now going out and let others know that no matter what they have done in their past, they can be forgiven, they can be loved, and they can be see free.

Sigmashrike (left) who is the little sister of Swiftshrike (right). Can you see the family resemblance? :p I designed her costume to be as simple as Swifty's is complex and I think I nailed it. :) Swiftshrike is 20 years old but patently forbade her sister from even thinking of leaving the compound to use her powers until after she had graduated high school and/or reached the age of 16. Having done both, now she's free to experiment and learn the full extent of her gravity and force field powers. But, even given all the "dirt" she's done (and the reputation she's forged amongst the underworld figures of New York and the mid to upper East Coast), she still finds herself firmly stuck in the shadow of her big sister.

Absolute Z is my Ice / Ice Techno Tanker on Virtue.

Built to with stand long exposure to artic temperatures Model R78T9Y had an accident. During an exhibition to Antarctica it fell off a chasm and was damaged beyond repair, so it was left as garbage. When the unit regained operation it was unsure of what happened and what it was suppose to do. See a freak magnetic polar storm occurred and gave the unit awareness through several artic lightning strikes and it had healed itself. After walking back to the states through the ocean, the unit decided to help out in Paragon City, where reports had indicated a lot of villainess activity. Designed to help and unsure what to do, the unit decided that helping here was its new directive.

Here is another Virtue Alt - Fire-Eagle a Battle Ax / Fire Tanker.

As a guy that was interested in becoming a paster, Eric Strovnix, ended up in Paragon City and with a "Moses" like event after praying for help to take care of the city, became a new hero to fight the good fight and premote positive values for the children. So with wings of an eagle, he is here to ignite the city, and cut out the cancer of evil and sin in the city.

When last we saw Captain Noble, he had traveled into space on some obscure mission, leaving Dynamo-Man in charge of the Champions of Liberty.

While in space, pursuing a probe from the aliens that were threatining to invade Earth, he is attacked by that same probe, sending him crashing into another world, called Darth. The result of the energies of the probe cause his energy powers to go berzerk, and he is unable to controll them. Thankefully, the Darthians are fairly advanced technologically, and design a containment suit that allows him to controll his powers again. In the mean time, he finds the probe, discovers that it was manned, hunts down and defeats him before he can devistate the capital city of Darth. The Darthians are grateful, and have, in the mean time, found a cure to the problems with his energy powers, returning them to normal. Flying home, he decides to keep the new costume, at least at a momento.

Tank Engine (Victory server). Created by Professor Thadeus Chronos as a gift to the city around 1900. The Tank Engine served faithfully in the Independence Port shipyards for years till it was retired to a warehouse. Long forgotten it was rediscovered by Nemesis during the Rikti invasion. Nemesis tried to convert the Tank Engine to the cause but Tank Engine after being imbued with intelligence escaped taking out half a base and several automatons with it. It continues to explore the city and search for a book it has been informed about by a man named Asinov.

Well I am down to my last Alt.... on the Virtue server that is. God's Armor is my name sake (could not do Armor of #%@). He is a Defender FF/psy.

Kevin Walker a normal average christian man, involved in the study of the Armor of God and the wielding of it moved to Paragon City when all the heroes began emerging after the war. Always the hero supporter and dreamer of begin one, Kevin enjoyed walking the streets to watch one hero or another in action. Always stay a good distants away, one day while hiding in a tree to watch some heroes, he received a tap on his shoulder. Stunned and shocked, turning to see who it was. Floating in the air was Gifted, a Christian hero he knew well. Gifted took him to the local church and began to explain that God had a new purpose for Kevin's life. Thinking he was going to be in trouble and told not to follow heroes around becasue of the danger and that he was to be used by God in some boring way, Kevin kind of started to ignore Gifted.....until. A blast of energy hit Kevin, knowing of Gifted's powers he was scared. When the smoke cleared he was standing, still standing but how. Gifted explained, "Now that I have you attention. God has chosen you to be the physical repersentation of the Armor of God." And as Gifted's sidekick for a while Kevin learned to use his new powers and praise God for the gift he had recieved as well.

Here's my latest alt... PoliceBot!

The city police, desiring to get "back into the game," got permission from the mayor and the city, to build an advanced robot that could patroll the streets similar to a hero, but work for the police. Built by the finest minds in the city, including several heroes and some brains from Crey Industries, PoliceBot's personality was compiled from the top 20 cops in the city, as well as 5 voulinteer heroes. In the end, his personality was a little off from what they thought it was, but he remains true to his prime directives of protecting the people of the city. He has been given a two week trial run, before being allowed to persue cases on his own.

As for his origin:

Kyle MacDonald was just an average college student in Paragon City. He had a part time job, a solid GPA and a steady girlfriend. All that changed the day he found what seemed to be a ball of solid light in an alleyway calling to him.

"Kyle MacDonald, my name is St'rr Cr'ssd. I am a Kheldian warrior from another world sent here to track down the vile Nictus who've come to this world. I was beset by the Nictus who weilded a new weapon the likes of which I've never seen before. Caught offguard, the Nictus attacked me and dealt me a mortal blow. My only chance to continue my quest is to join with one of the local sentients to form a being known as a Peacebringer. Together, we will weild great power that will grow as our symbiosis grows. You are my only hope, will you help me?"

Kyle had admired the heroes of the city for a long time and the chance to join their ranks seemed almost too good to pass up. Knowing he could not only help this alien (whom he seemed to just know meant him no malice) but, also the city and maybe even the world. Agreeing to the merger, Kyle leaned down and layed a hand on the dying Kheldian. A flash of light lit the alleyway and when it subsided, Kyle alone stood in the alley. Stronger, changed for the better and with a new purpose, he took the sky, reveling in his newfound powers.

all of his powers (including his radiation emission) are in fact, illusionary. when he heals, he's just fooling everyone into thinking that the wounds just "went away"

he chose a demonic name and apearance a he hopes it will send fear into the goup that put him into the hostpital, the Circle of Thorns

Finally re-intigrating with the hero community in Pargon City during the Rikti War. A hero named Nexus caught up with him at one point convincing him somehow he should try actually interacting with people instead of just observing from a far. Regal has since created a secret ID for himself and works as Riverhaven's maintenance supervisor, though the residents, except for a couple, do not know who he actually is. He is currently dealing with an infestation of Ultra Mice.

Bayern Blast (upper left) - Protector
A mutant energy/energy blaster.
A hero originally from Bavaria. ((His back story is still coming together, but it will be linked somehow to Czechmark's.))

Czechmark (upper center) - Protector
A mutant rad/rad defender.
A heroine originally from Bohemia. ((Again, the story is still brewing, something along the lines of foreign students coming into their powers while attending school here, and an agency that is set up to bridge their development into the world of herodum)).

Gray Hornet (upper right) - Infinity
A mutant empathy/dark defender.
She came forward with her powers of healing, wanting to help in anyway she could, but was surprised that her initial training had her develop brawling skills, and exploration of her dark powers that frankly kinda scare the crap out of her. She is coping with this unexpected path, though, and she is beginning to excel at those aspects she thought were most important going in: helping and healing others.

Emerald Jay (lower left) - Protector
A magic empathy/radiation defender.
Like her mother, she has a profiency at studying the arcane crafts. She also has her mother's good looks, and fiery temper. Her father is an engineer, logical to the end. She has taken the best of both, and embarked on a pragmatic course of study for her own exploration into the magical arts.

Flywheel (lower center) - Protector
A mutant invulnerability/super strength tanker.
A moose of a man who fancies himself as the humanization of the powerful presses he operated in the mills of Southeastern New England since he was a young teen.

There was a time when Jonathan was a normal citizen. He was content with his life of wandering on the streets, telling heroes the time and other insignificant trivia. But then, one day, a very strange thing happened. He was being mugged by two Hellions, and after being rescued by a hero and escaping into an office building, everything turned black. It wasnt long, however, until he noticed a blurry image of a certain overweight grey-haired person in front of him. It was Jack Emmert. He explained to Jonathan that they were in CoH Beta and a strange bug just occured and apparently, he was given a personnality. With no other choice than to face the facts and understanding that he's nothing more than a mere element of a computer game, Jonathan found that some rules can be bent, or broken. He learned to overcome his weaknesses as a pedastrian and decided to join the players in their struggle against the imaginary villains.

The name was stolen when I rebuilt on Virtue a second time, literally within 5 minutes of my reworking the character :mad: and again Team 1 failed so I completely erased the character, :(. I forget the names right now but pretty much the general backstory is he was part of the Paragon S.W.A.T. force until the Rikti war where he joined the army. Sadly most ofd his platoon was killed, and he, along with the rest, were captured and tested for strengths and weaknesses of the human body and weapons. Afterwards some were killed, others were thrown into seperate demensions to die. He was throewn into one of darkness. Nt much is known from that point on, except that he returned completely dark, and with dark powers, and no recollection, or not willing to tell anyone, of that terrible time.

So, heading over to Justice, I started making my martial art amphibian. Unfortunatily, it turns out that Frawg is already taken as a name, so I ended up with the Frogg. Hi all, thanks for the warm welcome and compliments on my costumes. I love designing new heroes and looks. It's probably my favorite part of the game.

And you all did indeed see me in AP last night. When I'm bored I like to swing by there and help out new players and just hang out.

One think I have noticed on these forums are all the cool banners/mini-art cards/animated versions of their heroes. These are freakin awesome. Where does everyone get these done? I would love some of my heroes.

Well, I figured I'd try something new this weekend, but not TOO new. So I went back to the old familiar scrapper AT and realized that I was missing one particular primary from my team. So I created Jadeshrike, a broadsword/regen scrapper:

And because she was such a quick study (in other words, fun to play and effective at the same time), she was appointed leader of the Guardian chapter of Shrike Team. As an aside, she's also the shortest hero I've ever made, at 5 feet tall. Didn't know how that would work out but I know I did feel like I had made a midget, since it seemed everyone I grouped with went with either the default height (for females, that's 5'8-ish) or the huge male size. I did team with a few folks who went with minimum height, but those were rare.

I also made another character that I'll probably play next weekend. Her name's Tlalocshrike. Any guesses as to her powersets? :P

Well, no thanks to Issue 5, the rubberband-lag and the delay between clicking powers and their actual activation, I've lost interest to play my main characters for a bit. It's just so frustrating when you run a block, and you're rubberbanded back to the beginning of your sprint.

So I decided to just poke around with some Alts. I got this strange desire to make a supergirl character. Just a sidekick to a Superman-like-character. I thought about all the "Superman" like characters I know... only one came to mind. I guess it's a goodthing because I've already read his bio before I made the character. It was easy to slap a history to her. Though, I must admit that I'm not too hung up on keeping her. She just looks so darn cute! If you have a main character that could use a sidekick, let me know! I'm willing to delete Imperia for something more... permanent.

Thanks guys. I'm just really obsessed over being a sidekick to *someone*. Or even making a duo of sorts. the only things is, a lot of the people I talk to in game for the most part are solo characters not meant to have a sidekick. So I'm scoping for any takers at the moment.

I think what makes her look cute could be the combination of daisy dukes, platinum blonde hair, blue eyes, and the thin build. I didn't know what exact colors Imperial uses, so I just decided to use a fainter yellow that brings out the femininity(sp?)

I'm curious though... I dare one(or all) of you to choose a guru-ite and make their character a sidekick. Just for kicks...

Well, just so you know, I made a son for you at first. But do to the lack of decent African american hairstyles, I gave up. I wasn't satisfied with any hairstayle they had, and I didn't want to make him bald (no offense). I REALLY wish they'd add the giant afro for males...

Then, I made a Personal Assisstant for V.P. Tsarmina who was a decendent SK's deceased brother. But I stopped for three reasons.

1.) I couldn't make the costume party you had going at the time for some reason or another.
2.) I didn't really know how Tsarmina would've reacted to it because I never met her... well except for that one time when I first got the game...
3.) I lost track of you.

But now that you say something... I might delete one of my characters so that I can recreate something real quick. I've been itching to use the Archery powerset...

I kinda have a sidekick for one of my characters, though it wasn't pre-planned. Sintera (my first MA/regen scrapper...heck, my first scrapper period) is now Swiftshrike's sidekick or protegé. Have to work on making her costume even vaguely similar though.

Ah, therapy at it's finest. I made this character on the Justice server. He's an Invul/Mace Tanker...modeled after you know who. I almost fell outta my chair laughing when I joined a sewer team and when I arrived to meet them at the gate, they all turned to me, started saying "hi" and then all turned back at me again like a comedic double take. Priceless. Taking a harmless jab at Statesman was a lot of fun.

One of my old alts.. but I rerolled him from Kin/Dark Defender to Dark/Regen Scrapper. His concept is that he is of native american descent, and comes from a family line including a curse that travels through the bloodline. It makes it's way through to him after his father dies from a suspicious "animal" attack. It's up to him to try and understand this cursed power, and whats behind the strange deaths of the previously cursed in his bloodline. He is.. The Predecessor.

I'd like to introduce you all to my newest character: Dream Mender

He's a Trick Bow, Archery Defender and I'm having a absolute blast playing him. The set is very fast paced with quick recharges and even quicker animations. Its also almost situational, since you often need to decide which Debuff is the most pressing. The character is level 14 right now, and with how much fun I'm having its likely this guy will get into the mid 20s even 30s before I get board and move on. Any way, here are some pics:

The most important detail in my mind when I created him is that I did not want to be just another Legolas, Robin Hood, Martial Artist, or typical Archer Clone. So I thought to myself, self whats the farthest one could get yet still make logical sense along with a background that isn't often used...

What I came up with was a combination of an Iroquois Indian and the popular Dreamcatcher Myth. For the appearance, using memory and google I tried to get it as authentic I could for what the 18th Century Haudenosaunee looked like. He's not a Plains Indian, and I wanted to reflect that too. Red war paint along the body and face, multicolored cloth clothing, even moccasins. Unfortunately, there were alot of suttle details I couldn't add and none of the hair styles did him just justice so left him bald. He's short too, maybe 5'6" for it was my hope that a smaller body would create a larger bow so he could have a true Iroquois Longbow.

Storywise is still being fleshed out, but right now I'm leaning towards the Spirit World has been damaged by Croatoa and Dream Mender is hear to fix Spider's webs. The real trick has been trying to explain the powers and background keep the Iroquois feel. Most of the tales I've heard don't involve ghosts, spirits or shamans, but more like Aesop's Fables with nods to the Creator. The Origin itself is magic, so I'm thinking the Bow was made by Spider with the wood from a branch and string from webbing. The arrows are likely enchanted so that enemies are effected by a Spider bite, which works well for Glue, Ice, Poison, Acid and maybe even Fire or Flash.

Alas, Personality I'm still at a loss and don't know what way to go.I'm still working out the fine details, so would gladly welcome any input or advice someone might have. Anyway, I hope ya like em.

Known as Father Thorn by his friends, due to his distinctive style of dress and his habbit of quoting scripture during fights, Alex has recently come to Paragon City at the request of an old friend Brusier Mallone, to help clean up the streets.

This guy's beta name is Geiger Counter. Pretty obvious costume, but I like it. Geiger Counter was a super hero in the vein of Captain Atom when being caught at ground zerod during a nuclear detonation in Maryland made him permanently radioactive and thoroughly mentally damaged.

Under the name Duo in beta. I'm hoping that Eclipse will come free by the time COV is out. Eclipse used to be the bizarre hero known as Knight and Day. By night, he was a man possessing the dark weapons of the shadow, but by day he was an entirely different person possessing the ability to control light. However in a tragic fight with Ghost Widow, the two men were fused together, night and day, as she removed the psychic barrier separating the two. Although life had been difficult before, it was impossible now, as Eclipse was both mentally and physically altered beyond the possibility of normal life. Shunned by the public, Eclipse turned to a life of crime in order to afford a semblance of comfortable life, and to strike back at the public that they had protected for so long.

Dead Wind. Once a US soldier, John Calloway's hatred for the Rikti reached levels even legendary for those fighting against the Rikti during the war. But in the waning days, Calloway was badly injured and captured, then subjected to a proto-version of the process used to convert humans into the Lost. Calloway's pure mental force of will caused the process to go awry, but caused extreme mental damage. His hatred was taken to new levels, and when he realized that the Rikti were merely a future version of the human race, his fury turned towards a new target... Dead Wind has the ability to create a sonic scream that is as much psychic in origin as anything.

(I don't know why I have a hard time making just plain villains. All of these guys are ex-heroes.)

Biography:
Jed Attaway Beloved Father and friend, taken from us in September 22 1988 and survived by his son Josiah Attaway. Your friendship and sound advice will be missed always, rest in peace. Thats what the men sent by Sebastian Kain read on the crypt before they broke into it and remover the corpse of Jed. The orders were simple, remove the body intact, and transport to a specified location.

Jed would be the first, the first to be brought back, if everything went according to plan who better to help ease the others into their new reality than their old advisor and friend, someones whos advise was always trusted. At least thats what Sebastian Kain hoped for, but not all things go as planned.

The Resurrection ritual started, Sebastian instructed the Mystics to ensure success at all cost, and did not want to know the details of the ritual, his way of avoiding the reality of the evil forces being used. Unknown to him, the Mystics enlisted the aid of several Circle of Thorns mages whos knowledge of resurrection rituals would ensure success, but they had their own agenda. The CoT truh their connections with the evil forces that warp our world knew of Sebastians plans, and some of his most guarded secrets. They would use this opportunity to bring to fruition the true purpose of the demonic forces that Sebastian struggles with. The ritual began with the sacrifice of 3 young women, their blood fed to the corpse of Jed Attaway as the Mages and Mystics chanted their spells and encantations.

"Ashta-Hani, Ashta-Hani, Ashta-Hani" kept saying the mages as they called forward the powers of darkness. They were calling for the demon known to them as Ashta-Hani, an ancient demon that had some sort of connection with Sebastians darker side. Ashta-Hani was known in acient times as a demon of deception, a manipulator who would feed on the hate of inocents and amplify their anger or desires to exploit their weekneses. Power seemed to drive him, always seeking more and more power, attracted and obssesed by it. He would feed on an aspect of the hatred of those he possesed and amplify it, making this his supernatural power on the Earthly realm. Jeds death had left his spirit an easy victim. Poisoned as he was his spirit did not rest, and Ashta-Hani was able to easily take control of his soul, and his body, feeding on his hate and the anger for what was done to him, the poison that still wreaked within his body would serve as his power, he would use it, amplify it and use it to bring pain and suffering to all that he could.

The riual was a success, Jed Attaway was ressurected. His body repaired due to the sacrifice of the young girls, looking just as he did when he lsast took a breath. His memories intact, his soul still within, but not in control, for now Ashta-Hani possesed this body.

Immediatelly the demon began doing what he did best, deceive. Sebastian was eager to meet with Jed, and soon after the ritual the two got together. Jed fed him all the right lines, talking about old times and all manner of things Sebastian would expect to hear from the old Jed. At the same time Jed seemed courious about many things, specially technology, he said that what happened to him made him realize he needed to take a more direct approach to the events unfolding, specially if he was to be of any use to Sebastian. In reality, the demon within had noticed the power that technology in this new era reprsented and was immediatelly atracted to it. Sebastian was sceptical at first, this was not like the old Jed, but then again, he had gone truh a lot and Jed made a good argument. Somethig in Sebastian knew, something told him not to trust him, but he did all the same.

Jed began working restlessly on gathering resourses, and technologies, ofthen by any means neccessary, from purshase, to industrial espionage and thivery, to extortion and murder. He knew it was only a matter of time untill Sebastian noticed and stoped him. He had to wait untill the others were resurrected before Sebastian would find out the truth, he needed the others to be strong enough to take on Sebastians Organization, so for now he needed a place of operations away from Sebastian.

He developed a suit of Power Armor, thru which he could both channel and amplify the Poisons that his body controlled, and also utilize many of the stolen technology like the teleportation technology taken from Portal corps, and Stealth and weapon technology taken from Cray Industries. With this suit of Armor he adopted his new villian persona, he called himself Omega Reckoning.

He would build himself an army of robotic soldiers, after all they would be 100% loyal and never question his authority. The teleportation device on his suit would allow him to teleport this robotic soldiers to his side when needed. He would need more money, lots more money in order to accomplish this, so Omega Reckoning began stealing from banks, as well as selling weapons in the black market. A contingency plan was needed for when Sebastian would find out about him, and he knew that he would. The perfect place, with the resources and ease of use would be his old company, the old family oil business.

Omega Reckoning teleported into the office of a surprised Josiah Attaway.

"what?!"
"Who are you?!"
"What do you want?!" said Josiah.
"Relax son" Said Omega Reckoning while removing his armors face plate.
"Its me, your father"
"I have returned"

Father Syn(Bot/FF Mastermind)- The Syn in his name is short for Synthezoid and acts as a double entendre for religious sin. Father Syn is an artificial life that believes in the purity of mechanics. He believes he was created to usher in the coming of the chosen one, a robot. It is a sin to be flesh and sins must be abolished. He commands a following of simpler automatons that follow his word. He seeks the obliteration of all humans or their conversion to a robotic state. He is smart enough though to use and even collaborate with human villains to further his own beliefs.

Scaregrow(Plant/Thorn Dominator)- Scaregrow was a convicted serial killer. He managed to escape prison. He found his way to a farm in rural Pennsylvania, where he killed the family that lived there. With her dying breath, the mother of the family cursed the killer that his soul may never know rest. The police caught up with him at the farm and gunned him down in the crop fields. As his blood seeped into the soil, the curse took hold and his soul came to dwell in the body of the scarecrow in the fields. Darker powers were at work though and while they could not stop the curse, they could bend it and they granted the scaregrow the ability to control flora so that he could continue his murderous ways. He now continues his homicidal path and is immortal as far as anyone can determine thus far.

Texas Hold'em(AR/Traps Corruptor)- Osirah Dalton was a Texas ranger when his family was killed by criminals. The thing was these criminals had been caught and released by heroes earlier that day by heroes in search of bigger game. Osirah holds the heroes responsible for his family's death and has waged a war against all supertypes believing their egos now put innocent lives at stake.

Boss Punchline(SS/Energy Aura Brute)- Boss was a mutant with super strength and resistance to harm. He considered himself a freak and joined the circus. It was here that he believed he was destined for something more. He had thought himself the world's joke up until now. He decided to round up others that society laughed at. Boss then crowned himself the kingpin of the destitute, mentally challenged, and freaks. He now commands an army of individuals with nothing to lose and no love lost for society. They are the most fanatical of followers feeding off their hatred and need for vengeance and Boss Punchline capitalizes off that to further his own personal goals.

Scavenge(Claws/SR Stalker)- Scavenge was an ornithologist for Crey that was working on a way to combine human and avian DNA. When funding was to be cut, he tested the process on himself. It succeeded and merged his DNA with that of a vulture. He was granted the ability of flight and clawed hands and feet. The process drove him insane though as he developed the violent nature of the vulture. He ended up stealing a stealth suit from the rival research department that his funding was going to be allocated to. He now uses his newfound abilities as an assassin named Scavenge. It is rumored that he eats parts of those he kills.

Overbite

At the close of the second World War, the Nazi scientists approached perfection of an ocean weapon that could turn the tide of the conflict and ensure an Axis Victory, this was called the Apex Program. Using American soldiers and Jewish slaves who were made into 'lab rats' and subjected to the goal of making the perfect biological anti-sumbarine weapons.

Van Matrix a United States Marine was captured by the 5th Column. The 5th Demanded ransom for the Soldiers Return home but the United States would not negotiate for his return. He was beaten and tortured before being sent to the Apex Program.

Van was a mutant. After Puberty his genetic make-up was already turning him into an aquatic marine animal, the shark. Along with that he had incredible strength and incredible healing abilities. Noticed after several tortue sessions and beatings. The scientists thought that Van would be their perfect subject in making their marine weapon. Given his fast healing he could endure the sessions and him already mutating into a shark all they would have to do is excelerate his change and conduct a brain wash session.

During the Brain Wash session, strapped down in a chair, needles laid out on the floor and a device slowly being lowered to his head Van awoke! He broke free and slayed all in sight sparing only the other slaves. He destroyed the lab and took to the sea.

Later he met up with Capt. Mako, who made him his first mate on his crew were they had many adventures together. It was Capt. Mako that gave him the name Overbite.

After Mako joined Recluse Overbite went his own way, stole a ship of his own the Vixious and formed a crew of his own. For a couple years they were the feared Pirates of the seven seas. Until Overbite was betrayed by his crew. While feeding on some seals the crew raised anchor and sailed off, on his six was the Coast Guard, who captured him by net. His own crew sold him out for reasons unknown.

Like his mentor Overbite made a deal with Recluse while in the Zig. He waits for his signal to escape...

Brief Background
Born into poor family from the wrong side of town it took awhile for Zarina’s mental deficiencies to be noticed. Her father left before she can remember and her mother was an addict, drunk and small time fence.
Years passed. Her father was arrested because of a report to Child Services that her mother had placed. They were both relocated to a run down project. A step up, but not by enough to matter. On her seventh birthday she stood outside in the fresh snow, bruised and barefoot, watching her mother scream in the bedroom window while sirens cut through the night.
A crazed doctor began scouring various shady orphanages using questionable methods and equipment searching for young children with any degree of any mental prowess. It was during winter 1993 that he found Zarina. His crude tests showed a telekinetic and telepathic aptitude despite her obvious lack of intelligence. Within a week he had adopted the girl for a sizeable amount of money.
Over the next several years the Professor experimented with his own methods of teaching and enhancing the girls mental abilities while also working on ways to increase her intelligence and mental prowess. Over time he amputated one hand and forced her to try and manipulate objects with her budding telekinesis. He removed her other arm completely so she would have no subtle temptation to use it rather than her mental abilities. She learned to use her telekinetic powers.
To force enhancement of her telepathic abilities he tried abnormal negative reinforcement techniques and punished her for failure while punishing her less for success. He removed her tongue, then eventually stitched her mouth shut hoping she would be forced to use her telepathy. She was, and she did.
To teach more advanced uses of her innate talent he bolted a metal mask around her head hoping to force remote viewing abilities to surface and perceive the world around her with only her mind. He forced her to maneuver through complex mazes of his own design thus blinded, designs which cut, bruised, burned and scraped for each failure. Eventually he removed her eyes, positive that now she must user her mind only to “see” he resumed teaching.
During these periods the Professor also worked on increasing his latest subjects intelligence and related attributes. He used experimental drugs which yielded smaller results than he desired. After a month he switched to direct manipulation of Zarina’s cerebral cortex, cerebellum and frontal lobe. This showed quicker results and also served to further increase her telepathic and telekinetic talents.
After several years Zarina’s organs showed signs of accelerated decay and he was forced to remove several and replace them with mechanical equivalents acquired from a robotics expert. Now that his subjects psychic abilities had progressed through forced evolution he also had replacements fashioned for her missing appendages.
By summer 1998 Zarina was once again mostly whole, and in control of her abilities. The cybernetic organs were more efficient and durable than her previous ones and the replacement limbs were stronger and carried numerous small tools for her use. It was during this period that the Professor began to notice shorts outbursts of lunatic or psychotic behavior. The outbursts grew in intensity until winter 1999 when a group of heroes found and assaulted the Professors public offices, penetrated his secure laboratory facilities and found his deeper, secret laboratory where there had been other girls like Zarina fashioned over the years, five in fact. She was his sixth. His final. He forced her against the heroes. A brief but destructive battle ensued and the heroes overwhelmed the single woman before subduing the Professor.
Zarina spent the remaining years in the Asylum. A raving lunatic, silent, but screaming and muttering in the minds of those around her. Her cybernetic limbs were removed and stored elsewhere, and her mind was kept placated with drugs and dampening fields. It was during these years, during her few lucid periods, that she focused on “pushing”, forcing her will upon another. Drugs were increased, field strength was magnified.
Then one day the drugs never came. The dampening fields weakened and feeling this weakness, she smashed them to bits. Something was different in the Asylum. Something new. Something… that felt very, very good.

The name doesn't make the character. I've got one reserved, but names are sort of overrated, especially with the new policy. If you're going to steal a name, it's a freakin' video game. I'm not going to cry about it.

Oh, btw G-Nome, I've got absolutely nothing useful for ya. You might want to try separating a few themes out there and creating another villain. One of the things that really makes character creation in this genre is having one or two very strong central themes expressed through the costume and the name. (Which I know counteracts what I just said about names not mattering, but there's plenty of words out there.)

You might try using the robes and creating a more asian influenced military dictator than the European hat and coat.

Origin:When the Sky-Hawke of Primal Earth traveled via portal to Dimension Theta X 125.012.21, he found a world under the total control of a superpowered being. Traveling to the capital of this world, he was shocked to see the version of himself native to this world was the one in control.
Sky-Hawke challenged his other self to battle and combat raged over the capital building for most of the day. Finally, Sky-Hawke of Primal Earth got the upper hand and defeated his other self.
Taking the evil version of himself back to Primal Earth, Sky-Hawke intended to imprison him in the Zig. However, he wasn't prepared for what would happen as they crossed through the portal home. Apparently, his other self's genetic makeup was different enough that it reacted rather uniquely with the portal's energy. By the time the two crossed back into the labs at Portal Corp, the evil Sky-Hawke was but a former shadow of his former self.
For months, Sky-Hawke Theta lay in his cell in the Zig. Waiting day and night for the chance to free himself and reclaim his former power and making his way back to his own dimension and his seat of power there.
One night, the Norse God Loki came to him in a dream. With the promise of his freedom and renewed power, Loki only asked him to aid him in the destruction of his blood brother Odin's band of heroes, the Hrafn Warband. Seeing this as a win/win situation, Sky-Hawke Theta agreed. Changing his name to Rancorous, meaning evil, he now waits for the moment of his freedom.

Origin:A member of a long forgotten clan of Ninja, the man known only as Shihan Ganmen isn't your average supervillain. Years ago, he found some ancient scrolls that held the secret to magically conjure spheres of pure mystic force. These spheres could be focused into attacks or used to protect one's self or others. The scrolls also held the secrets to conjuring minions to do one's bidding.
The leader of his clan felt this knowledge was too great for any man to possess and ordered Shihan to destroy them. Unwilling to part with them, he instead stole away with them to America. There, he studied the scrolls until he had learned all they held. With time, he knew he could not only master but, improve upon the spells the scrolls held.
Time, however, was not to be his ally. Members of his former clan had tracked him down to Paragon City and had moved in to subdue him and take back to stand trial. In a fit of both fear and anger, Shihan summoned a Genin out of midair and surrounded him with mystic energies to protect him. The Genin and Ninja battled in the streets of Galaxy City until the Back Alley Brawler stepped in. The Ninja vanished as quickly as they had appeared but, once his Genin was defeated, Shihan was taken into custody.
Now, Shihan sits in the Zig, waiting for the day he'll see freedom again. He's heard rumors of an impending jailbreak spearheaded by Arachnos. Perhaps under Arachnos' umbrella of protection, Shihan could finally perfect his mystic skills.
