I love it! This time of year I listen to it the entire month of December in the office. It really gets me in the mood for my favorite time of year. Pop, Traditional, Rock..any kind of Christmas music gets me in the mood. How about you?

I dislike Xmas music *so* much!
The only redeeming thing about this paticular holiday is the cool light displays you see.

I LOVE Christmas music. It's a nice break from all of the current music that plays. Listening to the songs you've heard since you were a kid, very calming.

So basically stuff trying really hard to be 'quirky and alternative.' :P

I'm not too big on it myself.

There should be a third option. While I won't go out of my way to listen to it all the time, it does have its place, and it does bring about a nice feeling during get-togethers and traditions.

I loathe christmas music. Except for punk rock christmas music, it's just two slow. Many songs were created at that specific tempo so that people will subconsciously slow down in stores and buy more junk.

In moderation. I can't stand having the same songs blasted over and over again. It's good you only hear the music two and a half months out of the year.

The thing I can't stand is when a new singer tries to "Funk up" a classic song and ruin it. I ****ing hate Christana Agulara's Christmas song.

"Jiiiiieeeenglee.....Bells....OHHH! AAHAH!! AAAAAAHH!!!" O_o

It takes her 45 minutes to sing a ****ing song!

Why not just say, Happy Birthday Jesus! Hope you like crap!

I also love how some radio stations are nothing but Christmas songs, it makes it nice to not have a CD just turn it on and you got some songs. But what I think is stupid is how they end it.

My family had the stereo on and I saw that it was just past midnight on Christmas, and at 12:05am the station went back to Billy Joel... (I hate living on Long Island...too much traffic and Billy Joel.)

Most Christmas music was born in the creative vaccum of pop music in the 40's and 50's. It's from the same era that gave us "How Much is That Doggie in the Window." That's why it sucks ass.

I'm a big fan of non-traditional Christmas songs... especially Weird Al's.

Others I like include Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer, Run-DMC's Christmas in Hollis, The Night Santa Went Crazy by Weird Al, and those crazy singing dogs that bark the tune of Jingle Bells.

I LOVE Christmas music. I'm not saying that I would listen to it all year round, but I just LOVE it during the holidays. :)

There should be a third option of "Meh," as others have stated. I enjoy Christmas music around Christmas time, but I don't like the fact that it seems ubiquitous; that I can't seem to escape from it. I guess that's why I don't listen to any myself or own any: I can hear it all over the place during the holidays.

The music from Nutcracker, on the other hand... that just makes me bat**** insane. Probably because I hear it even more than the average person during the holidays, and I associate it with an awful lot of work, but also it just makes me nuts. There are so many other classical pieces dealing with Christmas/winter/the holidays out there. Can't they set their Swiffer commercial to freaking Vivaldi for once?!

If I didn't have to hear starting from the day after Thanksgiving I might still like Christmas music. And I'm sorry to say Mariah Carey, Britney Spears, Jessica Simpson, and Nick Lackey are not shining examples of Christmas music... I have to hear this at work. There are only 3 Christmas songs, AC/DC's Mistress for Christmas, the Ramones' Merry Christmas (I Don't Want to Fight Tonight) and Weird Al's The Night Santa Went Crazy.

Where's the "only when it's played by metal bands" option?

Heh, I said that without even looking at Winged's post, :D
