I'm at work. This stupid building seems to interfere with any good stations I want. So, no radio for me. I do hear my supervisor's radio every so often. That rap/hip-hop stuff. One song sounds like a chipmunk singing and I hear it at least 5 times a day. I swear.

I didn't find Ex-Cathedra. However, I did find (and sample, and purchase) Invisible Circles today.

There should be more black/Gothic metal bands with women as lead singers. Nightwish, Sinergy and After Forever simply aren't enough. :)

Nymphetamyne Overdose - Cradle of Filth
In fact, I've been listening to Cradle of Filth for a few weeks prior to running out and picking up two more metal CD's today (Forever After's Invisible Circles and Jacob's Dream's Drama of the Ages). I don't have that one yet, but I do have Damnation and a Day and Cruelty and the Beast. I love Cradle of Filth's instrumentals and back-up vocals (particularly the deep, gravelly bass voice and the woman's voice); I just wish the lead singer would come down a couple of octaves and stop screeching so much. It mars an otherwise perfectly good tune. :grr:

I think that next time we'll be picking up GWAR's War Party. We haven't had our Oderus Urungus fix in quite a while. Dave Brockie's a friggin' genius. :D

"Stop making the eyes at me, I'll stop making the eyes at you
And what it is that suprises me, is that I don't really want you too
And your shoulders are frozen (cold as the night)
Oh but you're an explosion (but you're not in mind)
Your name isn't Rio, but I don't care for sand
Lighting the fuse might result in a bang, with a bang-go!

I bet that you look good on the dancefloor
I don't know if your looking for romance or...
I don't know what you're looking for
Well I bet that you look good on the dancefloor

I just always thought you were more of the "Canon in D Minor" type, that's all. :p

For some reason, I have this mental image of you reclining in an imported French lounger, sipping a cabernet which comes priced at $20 a bottle, resting nestled somewhere in a scene of fine stucco-refresco walls, etched redwood floors, a large chandelier of cut quartz, several contemporary oil paintings bedecking the walls, a molded porcelain whirlpool tub in the bathroom, a black Sedan with an elegant interior in the parkway outside...and Judas Priest's "Stain'd Glass" album blasting in the background and shaking crumblies out of the plaster.

That's funny, Wids--that's how I always imagine myself too! But then I look around, and see my teeny apartment with its hamburger carpet and 70s countertops, and the fantasy dissolves. *sigh* Someday I'll have my Provencal villa, complete with Mediterranean view, seksay sportscar, private airstrip, and epically-proportioned wine cellar.

No, It's not shag. It's just old brown carpet whose fibers are worn down enough to give it the texture of hamburger meat, and the color is pretty much what I would call "ground chuck brown".

"Come and kiss me by the riverside, yeah Bobby says its fine he dont consider it cheating now!"

Red hair with a curl,
Mellow roll for the flavor,
And the eyes for peeping.
Cant keep away from the girl,
These two sides of my brain,
Need to have a meeting.
Cant think of anything to do yeah,

That all love is fleeting
Shes just looking for something new yeah
And I said it once before
But it bears repeating now!"

Kashmir by Led Zeppelin

Oh let the sun beat down upon my face, stars to fill my dream
I am a traveler of both time and space, to be where I have been
To sit with elders of the gentle race, this world has seldom seen
They talk of days for which they sit and wait and all will be revealed

Talk and song from tongues of lilting grace, whose sounds caress my ear
But not a word I heard could I relate, the story was quite clear
Oh, oh.

Oh, I been flying... mama, there ain’t no denyin’
I’ve been flying, ain’t no denyin’, no denyin’

All I see turns to brown, as the sun burns the ground
And my eyes fill with sand, as I scan this wasted land
Trying to find, trying to find where I’ve been.

Oh, pilot of the storm who leaves no trace, like thoughts inside a dream
Heed the path that led me to that place, yellow desert stream
My shangri-la beneath the summer moon, I will return again
Sure as the dust that floats high and true, when movin’ through kashmir.

Oh, father of the four winds, fill my sails, across the sea of years
With no provision but an open face, along the straits of fear
Ohh.

When I’m on, when I’m on my way, yeah
When I see, when I see the way, you stay-yeah

Ooh, yeah-yeah, ooh, yeah-yeah, when I’m down...
Ooh, yeah-yeah, ooh, yeah-yeah, well I’m down, so down
Ooh, my baby, oooh, my baby, let me take you there

Let me take you there. Let me take you there

I'm a mediocre singer at best: did choir in high school and college, and had small solos in the musicals and whatnot, but I was never known as a particularly phenomenal singer. Plus I have a *huge* fear of singing in front of people...which makes karaoke an interesting experience for me. I *love* karaoke, but it becomes an exercise in tricking myself out of the neurosis before my song is over.

Where is this all going, you ask? Well, currently I'm listening to the only song I can really *nail* in karaoke: "You Were Meant For Me" by Jewel.

So that gives you an idea of what my voice sounds like. ;) I usually sing alto/mezzo soprano. Carry on.

Oh, by the way, half of the bands I listen to come from Here (http://www.desotorecords.com/downloads/index.shtml)

EDIT: Because I feel like it... Lyrics time!

I've seen the worlds most beautiful Women in dress in Ordinary Slolitude
I've fallen asleep in the shift of Distant Satin
I've seen the Rich risk it all for 15 minutes in a Hethrow bathroom
I've Shuddered as an Unseen mouth slid down my spine every night
I'm seized with the ice cold rage of a lover betrayed half a million miles away
I've cried for hours and not known why, never do
I've been knocked down flat by a joy that makes my face pulse like a sugar high
I've been cornered by the screams of a body as it frees itself of it's mind

Well I guess you could call it superpowers, but no one is going to save the world with what I've got
And Indigo light from silver towers, Surrounded by rocks and stones as far as the eye can see.

I've been lost in a cold white space as an arrogant dream storms in from another life
I've felt the snaps of lines that bind us all to this world
I've felt such unreal pain and not known what to do, it isn't mine
I've stayed awake for weeks, and slept for days, not one dream

I guess you could call it superpowers, but no one is going to save the world with what I've got.
An Indigo light from silver towers, Surrounded by rocks and stones as far as the eye can see, under low gray skys, as the razor wind tears at the walls.

I personally think it's a rather good description of an Emp/Psy

Nice song Bree ;)

"Do you call my name" - Ra

EDIT: Tossed in the lyrics since they totally fit my mood these days....

(kill me with a beat )

Some people seem to think they always know what's best for you
Their little minds try to create a world to keep you still
The bolt is thrown, the cage is locked
You saw this, don't you lie
At first you cry and then you hate those people stole your will...

Do as you are told and maybe then we'll let you out
You might be dead and cold, you might be full of doubt
Don't try to escape cuz you don't have nowhere to go
If nothing is your fate... there's no scenario
No nothing

Do you call my name
Do you stain my brain
My eyes are blurry and I can't see you anymore
Do you call my name
Do you breed my pain
My heart is bloody and I can't take it anymore

So you just sit there, stuck, afraid to risk reality
Afraid to cause yourself more pain, to face insanity
But nothing ventured, nothing gained
You see... your fear's your cage
You beg for help but you're alone, stuck in a helpless rage

Do as you are told and maybe then we'll let you out
You might be dead and cold, you might be full of doubt
Don't try to escape cuz you don't have nowhere to go
If nothing is your fate... there's no scenario
(it's me.... I see, please... let me out I'm petrified)

Do as you are told and maybe then we'll let you out
You might be dead and cold, you might be full of doubt
Don't try to escape cuz you don't have nowhere to go
If nothing is your fate... there's no scenario
(C'mon)

Do you call my name
Do you stain my brain
My eyes are blurry and I can't see you anymore
Do you call my name
Do you breed my pain
My heart is bloody and I can't take it anymore (2x)

Oasis - Married with Children

There's no need for you to say you're sorry
Goodbye I'm going home
I don't care no more so don't you worry
Goodbye I'm going home

I hate the way that even though you
Know you're wrong you say you're right
I hate the books you read and all your friends
Your music's ****e it keeps me up all night

There's no need for you to say you're sorry
Goodbye I'm going home
I don't care no more so don't you worry
Goodbye I'm going home

I hate the way that you are so sarcastic
And you're not very bright
You think that everything you've done's fantastic
Your music's ****e it keeps me up all night

And it will be nice to be alone

Midnight Oil-Sometimes. Their best song, I think, even better than Beds are Burning.

I know that the sunset empire shudders and shakes
I know there's a floodgate and a raging river
I say the silence of the ribbons of iron and steel
I say hear the punch drunk huddle drive hammer and steel

Sometimes you're beaten to the call
Sometimes you're taken to the wall
But you don't give in

I know that the cannibals wear smart suits and ties
I know they arm wrestle on the altar
I say don't leave your heart in a hard place

Sometimes you're shaken to the core
Sometimes the face is gonna fall
But you don't give in

Before that was The View From This Tower by Faraquet. I'd post the lyrics, but Faraquet's really more about guitars and drums set to really complex rhythms. In a just world, they'd be huge.

And coming up is The Food by Common.

Metallica - The Thing That Should Not Be [S&M]

Messenger of fear in sight
Dark deception kills the light

Hybrid children watch the sea
Pray for father, roaming free

Fearless wretch
Insanity
He watches
Lurking beneath the sea
Great old one
Forbidden site
He searches
Hunter of the shadows is rising
Immortal
In madness you dwell

Crawling chaos, underground
Cult has summoned, twisted sound

Out from ruins once possessed
Fallen city, living death

Fearless wretch
Insanity
He watches
Lurking beneath the sea
Timeless sleep
Has been upset
He awakens
Hunter of the shadows is rising
Immortal
In madness you dwell

Not dead which eternal lie
Stranger eons death may die

Drain you of your sanity
Face the thing that should not be

Fearless wretch
Insanity
He watches
Lurking beneath the sea
Great old one
Forbidden site
He searches
Hunter of the shadows is rising
Immortal
In madness you dwell

She's Electric - Oasis

She's electric
She's in a family full of eccentrics
She done things I never expected
And I need more time
She's got a sister
And god only knows how I've missed her
On the palm of her hand is a blister
And I need more time

And I want you to know
I've got my mind made up now
But I need more time
And I want you to say
Do you know what I'm saying?
But I need more ....
Coz I'll be you and you'll be me
There's lots and lots for us to see
There's lots and lots for us to do
She is electric, can I be electric too?

She's got a brother
We don't get on with one another
But I quite fancy her mother
And I think that she likes me
She's got a cousin
In fact she's got 'bout a dozen
She's got one in the oven
But it's nothing to do with me

And I want you to know
I've got my mind made up now
But I need more time
And I want you to say
Do you know what I'm saying?
But I need more ....
Coz I'll be you and you'll be me
There's lots and lots for us to see
There's lots and lots for us to do
She is electric, can I be electric too?

Can I Be Electric Too?
Can I Be Electric Too?
Can I Be Electric Too?
Can I Be Electric Too?

Esther,
why do you look all blue,
what did I say to you,
to make you feel,
all blue.

Esther,
when you walk in the room,
everybody turns,
to look at you.

And that night when I called you,
I was being young.

And the way I tried to win you,
I was being young,
I was being young

Esther,
why can't you talk to me,
why can't you look at me,
why can't you sit with me.

Esther,
with your lips all full,
with your heart all full,
is there room for two?

And that night when I called you,
I was being young.

And the way I tried to win you,
I was being young.
I was being young.

And that night when I called you,
I was being young.

And the way I tried to win you,

"Tout Le Monde" by Carla Bruni.

She's a *fabulous* chanteuse... and the lyrics to Tout Le Monde are just gorgeous.

Tout Le Monde (*rough translation!*--it's much better in French, trust me)
Everyone is a silly person
And everyone has a mixed-up soul
Everyone has a childhood sleeping
At the bottom of a forgotten pocket
Everyone has the remains of dreams
And devastated corners of life
Everyone has looked for something
But no one has found it
No one has found it.

Everyone must reclaim from the powers that be
A law against all our solitude
That no one will be forgotten
That no one may be forgotten

Everyone has but one life that passes
But everyone doesn't remember that
I've seen those that bend it, and those that break it
And I've seen those that don't even see it at all
I've seen those that don't even see it at all.

We must all reclaim from the powers that be
A law against all our indifference
That no one may be forgotten,
That no one may be forgotten.

Everyone's a funny person
And everyone has a mixed-up soul
Everyone has a childhood that resonates
At the bottom of a forgotten hour,
At the bottom of a forgotten hour.

And your heart was an open book
You used to say live and let live

But if this ever changin' world

Makes you give in and cry

Say live and let die
Live and let die

What does it matter to ya
When ya got a job to do
Ya got to do it well
You got to give the other fella hell

You used to say live and let live

For What Reason-Death Cab for Cutie

Sometimes i think this cycle never ends
We slide from top to bottom and we turn and climb again
And it seems by the time that i have figured what it's worth
The squeaking of our skin against the steel has gotten worse.

But if i move my place in line i'll lose.
And i have waited, the anticipation's got me glued.

I am waiting for something to go wrong.
I am waiting for familiar resolve.

Sometimes it seems that i don't have the skills to recollect
The twists and turns of plots that took us from lovers to friends
I'm thinking i should take that volume back up off the shelf
And crack it's weary spine and read to help remind myself

But if i move my place in line i'll lose.
And I have waited, the anticipation's got me glued.

I am waiting for something to wrong
I am waiting for familiar resolve
I am waiting for another repeat
Another diet fed by crippling defeat
And i am waiting for that sense of relief
I am waiting for you to flee the scene
As if you held in your hand the smoking gun
And on the floor lay the one you said you loved.

And it's strange
They are basically the same
So i don't ask names anymore.

Sometimes i think this cycle never ends
We slide from top to bottom and we turn and climb again
And it seems by the time that i have figured what it's worth
The squeaking of our skin against the steel has gotten worse.

The squeaking of our skin against the steel has gotten worse [x2]

All the beggars play by the beggars' own rules

A lecher loves what a lecher should
On a sea of destruction

Build your ship and sail across the sea of flame

Greenest genius of the fallen fool

Pull me out of the aircrash
Pull me out of the lake

I want to, I want to be someone else or I'll explode
Floating upon the surface for
The birds, the birds, the birds

You want me, well ****ing well come and find me
I'll be waiting with a gun and a pack of sandwiches
And nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing

You want me, well, come on and break the door down
You want me, ****ing come on and break the door down

Shake along with me

Shake along with me!

I'm sorry but I just don't know
I know I said I told you so
But when you're happy and you're feeling fine

It's the right time

Paracetamoxyfrusebendroneomycin - Suman Bismas, Adam Kay

Hello, and thank you for listening.
My name's Adam (and my name's Suman Bismas)

This album is sponsored by SmaxoGlithKline, who've asked us to say a few words about their new drug

[to the tune of "Supercalifragalisticexpialidocious"]

Paracetamoxyfrusebendroneomycin
It's our brand-new wonderdrug we think you'll find enticing
Paracetamoxyfrusebendroneomycin
Um-diddle-iddle-iddle Um-diddle-aye
Um-diddle-iddle-iddle Um-diddle-aye
Um-diddle-iddle-iddle Um-diddle-aye

The BNF has twenty thousand different drugs to take
So we thought "What could we produce to give you all a break?"
A drug that could treat anything from leprosy to SARS,
And you can give it in the mouth, I.V. or up the arse

It's Paracetamoxyfrusebendroneomycin
Paracetamoxyfrusebendroneomycin
It can cure the common cold and being struck by lightning
Paracetamoxyfrusebendroneomycin

Um-diddle-iddle-iddle Um-diddle-aye
Um-diddle-iddle-iddle Um-diddle-aye
Um-diddle-iddle-iddle Um-diddle-aye

We tested it on animals and none of them survived
But that's okay cause when we wrote the paper up we lied
It's first choice for MI, MF and even ME
MC and PV, HIV, PE and DVT

Paracetamoxyfrusebendroneomycin
Paracetamoxyfrusebendroneomycin
It reverses impotence and makes you good at fighting
Paracetamoxyfrusebendroneomycin

Um-diddle-iddle-iddle Um-diddle-aye
Um-diddle-iddle-iddle Um-diddle-aye
Um-diddle-iddle-iddle Um-diddle-aye

There are some minor side-effects and some are not that rare
Like nausea and vomiting and losing all your hair
And heart attacks, becoming gay, and growing extra breasts,
But it's ****ing cheap and hey, this is the NHS.

Paracetamoxyfrusebendroneomycin
Paracetamoxyfrusebendroneomycin
There are curse for everything from AIDS to pubic lice in
Paracetamoxyfrusebendroneomycin

Um-diddle-iddle-iddle Um-diddle-aye
Um-diddle-iddle-iddle Um-diddle-aye
Um-diddle-iddle-iddle Um-diddle-aye

Paracetamoxyfrusebendroneomycin
We make it from the cerebellar cortex of a bison
After that it undergoes some polygenic splicin'
Paracetamoxyfrusebendroneomycin

Um-diddle-iddle-iddle Um-diddle-aye
Um-diddle-iddle-iddle Um-diddle-aye
Um-diddle-iddle-iddle Um-diddle-aye

Paracetamoxyfrusebendroneomycin
It makes you smart as Einstein and as muscular as Tyson
It brings and end to all that pharmacology revising
Paracetamoxyfrusebendroneomycin

Um-diddle-iddle-iddle Um-diddle-aye
Um-diddle-iddle-iddle Um-diddle-aye
Um-diddle-iddle-iddle Um-diddle-aye

Paracetamoxyfrusebendroneomycin
We sell lots in Japan cause it's the antidote to ricin
The Minister of Health, we hear, will shortly be advising
"Take Paracetamoxyfrusebendroneomycin!"

Goddamn Charon got me listening to Adam Kay now, but mine's London Underground. This is erieely close to how the trains work here.

London Underground (To the tune of "Going Underground".)
Some people might like to get a train to work
Or drive in in a Beamer or a merc,
Some guys like to travel in by bus,
But I can't be bothered with the fuss today
I'm going to take my bike,
Coz once again the Tube's on strike.
The greedy bastards want extra pay
for sitting on their arse all day
even though they earn 30K .
So I'm standing here in the pouring rain,
Where the f*ck's my f*cking train?

London Underground
London Underground
They're all lazy f*cking useless c*nts
London Underground
London Underground
They're all greedy c*nts I want to shoot them all with a rifle.

All they say is "Please mind the doors",
and they learned that on the two day course,
This job could be done by a four year old.
They just leave us freezing in the cold.
What you smell is what you get
Burger King and piss and sweat
You roast to death in the boiling heat,
With tourists treading on your feet
and chewing gum on every seat,
so don't tell me to "Mind the gap"
I want my f*cking money back.

London Underground
London Underground
They're all lazy f*cking useless c*nts
London Underground
London Underground
They're all greedy c*nts I want to shoot them all with a rifle
LaLaLaLa
LaLaLaLa

The floors are sticky and the seats are damp,
Every platform has a f*cking tramp,
But the drivers get the day off when we're all late for work again,

London Underground
London Underground
WaWa Wankers ,
They're all Wankers ,
London Underground
London Underground

Take your Oystercard, and shove it up your arsehole.

"Fire Coming Out of a Monkey's Head" by Gorillaz. Which is a spoken word number with some interludes of song.

Once upon a time at the foot of a great mountain,
there was a town where the people known as Happyfolk lived,
their very existence a mystery to the rest of the world,
obscured as it was by great clouds.
Here they played out their peaceful lives,
innocent of the litany of excess and violence that was growing in the world below.
To live in harmony with the spirit of the mountain called Monkey was enough.
Then one day Strangefolk arrived in the town.
They came in camouflage,
hidden behind dark glasses, but no one noticed them: they only saw shadows.
You see, without the Truth of the Eyes, the Happyfolk were blind.

Falling out of aeroplanes and hiding out in holes
Waiting for the sunset to come, people going home
Jump back from behind them and shoot them in the head
Now everybody dancing the dance of the dead,
the dance of the dead,
the dance of the dead

In time, Strangefolk found their way into the high reaches of the mountain,
and it was there that they found the caves of unimaginable Sincerity and Beauty.
By chance, they stumbled upon the Place Where All Good Souls Come to Rest.
The Strangefolk, they coveted the jewels in these caves above all things,
and soon they began to mine the mountain, its rich seam fueling the chaos of their own world.
Meanwhile, down in the town, the Happyfolk slept restlessly,
their dreams invaded by shadowy figures digging away at their souls.
Every day, people would wake and stare at the mountain.
Why was it bringing darkness into their lives?
And as the Strangefolk mined deeper and deeper into the mountain,
holes began to appear,
bringing with them a cold and bitter wind that chilled the very soul of them up.
For the first time,
the Happyfolk felt fearful for they knew that soon the Monkey would soon stir from its deep sleep.
And then came a sound.
Distant first, it grew into castrophany so immense it could be heard far away in space.
There were no screams.
There was no time.
The mountain called Monkey had spoken.
There was only fire.
And then, nothing.

O little town in U.S.A, your time has come to see
There's nothing you believe you want
But where were you when it all came down on me?
Did you call me now?

"Black Black Heart" by David Usher, I try to listen to that song everyday. For some reason I really like it

It is an awesome song. I like how it blends pop and classical without seeming overwrought or self-indulgent like most groups who use orchestras do. I'm looking at you, Backstreet Boys.

Currently listening to Bolero, the song playing during the credits of Moulin Rouge. I finally found a copy of it. Amazing post-modern orchestral piece performed by the Australian Symphony Orchestra. Even if you don't like the movie (in which case: you're insane), check out this song.

"You're Beautiful" by James Blunt

My life is brilliant.
My love is pure.
I saw an angel.
Of that I'm sure.
She smiled at me on the subway.
She was with another man.
But I won't lose no sleep on that,
'Cause I've got a plan.

You're beautiful. You're beautiful.
You're beautiful, it's true
I saw your face in a crowded place,
And I don't know what to do,
'Cos I'll never be with you.

Yes, she caught my eye,
As we walked on by.
She could see from my face that I was,
flyin high,
And I don't think that I'll see her again,
But we shared a moment that will last till the end.

You're beautiful. You're beautiful.
You're beautiful it's true
I saw your face in a crowded place,
And I don't know what to do,
'Cos I'll never be with you.

You're beautiful. You're beautiful.
You're beautiful, it's true.
There must be an angel with a smile on her face,
When she thought up that I should be with you.

But it's time to face the truth,
I will never be with you

Close your eyes
Maybe someone will apologize
Maybe someday you will hear what I'm
Whispering at the top of my lungs

Ego cursed
I feel bad about not feeling worse
Come on kiss me on the honeyburst
Whispering at the top of my lungs
Whispering at the top of my lungs

Someday I'd like to forgive you
Someday I'd like to regret
Someday I'd like to remember the good things
That I seem to forget

I know that there's somebody out there
I know that they're having a blast
And now that it's time to surrender to you dear
I find you here at last

Easy love
You cry my name
And drag no pain through my lullabies
Easy love, you cry my name
And drag no pain through my lullabies
Easy love you don't cry
Easy love you don't cry

Baby please
Speak now or forever bite the leash
Don't you see that I am on my knees
Whispering at the top of my lungs

So close your eyes
Cause all is fine
Loneliness is just a state of mind
Whispering at the top of my lungs

Naked As We Came- Iron & Wine (aka Sam Beam)

Both the most romantic and creepiest song I've ever heard.

She says "wake up, it's no use pretending"
I'll keep stealing, breathing her
Birds are leaving over autumn's ending
One of us will die inside these arms
Eyes wide open, naked as we came
One will spread our ashes round the yard

She says "if I leave before you, darling
Don't you waste me in the ground"
I lay smiling like our sleeping children
One of us will die inside these arms
Eyes wide open, naked as we came
One will spread our ashes round the yard

Only by Nine Inch Nails

I'm becoming less defined, as days go by
Fading away, well you might say I'm losing focus
Kinda drifting into the abstract in terms of how I see myself

Sometimes, I think I can see right through myself
Sometimes, I think I can see right through myself
Sometimes, I can see right through myself

Less concerned, about fitting into the world
Your world that is!
Cause it doesn't really matter anymore
(no, it doesn't really matter anymore)
No, it doesn't really matter anymore
None of this sh*t really matters anymore

Yes, I am alone but then again I always was
As far back as I can tell, I think maybe it's because
Because you were never really real to begin with
I just made you up, to hurt myself
I just made you up, to hurt myself, yeah
And I just made you up to hurt myself
I just made you up to hurt myself, yeah
And I just made you up to hurt myself

And it worked
Yes, it did

There is no you, there is only me
There is no you, there is only me
There is no f*cking you, there is only me
There is no f*cking you, there is only me

Only
Only
Only
Only

Well, the tiniest little dot caught my eye and it turned out to be a scab
And I had this funny feeling, like I just knew it's something bad

I just couldn't leave it alone
I cut off that scab
It was a doorway trying to seal itself shut
But I climbed through

Now I'm somewhere I am not supposed to be
And I can see things I know I really shouldn't see
And now I know why now, and now I know why
Things aren't as pretty, on the inside

There is no you, there is only me
There is no you, there is only me
There is no f*cking you, there is only me
There is no f*cking you, there is only me

Blue - from Cowboy Bebop

Never seen a blue sky
Yeah I can feel it reaching out
And moving closer
There's something about blue
Asked myself what it's all for
You know the funny thing about it
I couldn't answer
No I couldn't answer

Things have turned a deeper shade of blue
And images that might be real
May be illusion
Keep flashing off and on
Free
Wanna be free
Gonna be free
And move among the stars
You know they really aren't so far
Feels so free
Gotta know free
Please
Don't wake me from the dream
It's really everything it seemed
I'm so free
No black and white in the blue

Everything is clearer now
Life is just a dream you know
That's never ending
I'm ascending

Drowning on a perfect Day,
A Surface I could never Break
Cold and Opaque
The fear beneath
A Current Pulling me beyond Reach
River in the Course daylight
Waiting for the sins that Stick,
To Vague to put right,
Wash away Belief,
Eventually they all unravel.
Today I'm going in to stay.

A Kiss Decending, Sinking to The Bottom of,

Mad World- Gary Jules

All around me are familiar faces
Worn out places
Worn out faces
Bright and early for the daily races
Going no where
Going no where
Their tears are filling up their glasses
No expression
No expression
Hide my head I wanna drown my sorrow
No tomorrow
No tomorrow
And I find it kind of funny
I find it kind of sad
The dreams in which I’m dying are the best I’ve ever had
I find it hard to tell you
I find it hard to take
When people run in circles its a very very
Mad world
Mad world
Children waiting for the day they feel good
Happy birthday
Happy birthday
And I feel the way that every child should
Sit and listen
Sit and listen
Went to school and I was very nervous
No one knew me
No one knew me
Hello teacher tell me what’s my lesson
Look right through me
Look right through me
And I find it kind of funny
I find it kind of sad
The dreams in which I’m dying are the best I’ve ever had

Grammatik - Pamietam (I remember)
Its Polish hip hop. :p

Translated the words for you guys:
F-I-S-Z
The space in my head is tightly filled
Hundreds of memories, so i have to hold my head with my hands
There are things that hurt, things that prefer not to come out on the surface
But to sink at the bottom
So please dont bother me
I like to swim and dive in all the good things
Leave the dirt behind me and clean it up later
Even though i know its hard to lose while keeping your honor
Im learning, i know i dont always have to win
Im learning, even though i dont remember much from school
I was sweating, having sleepless nights because of sh*t
That left my head right as fast
It didnt help fourish the things that needed to flourish
I lost myself, but i then i found myself again after a year
Step by step, searching for myself
Then i lifted myself and stood up
And im standing, and the words fall from my mouth straight to the microphone
And it carries the substance, like a hurricane, like rain, carries my substance
I lost myself, and got up, only to fall on the ground with a thump
They fly away and memories are all thats left.

I remember tic tac toe, on the backyard, us brats
I remember volleyball in the afternoon
School, chillin, warnings, detentions
Bruises, broken lips
Mother's complaints, elementary school
Grivel playground, all my goals
The innocent world, when everyone had smiles on their faces
Now every second one does dirty buisness
The old street is now like from a different city
Old friendships are now like an out-of-date fairy tale
Theres no more chillin, the evenings are different now
Where did the glass houses go
In my life, microphones
In theirs, the stairs in the school, in mine, music
Everyone's suddently so strange, attracted to bad things
I remember them as boys from good homes
Now they're children of the streets and gangsters from choice
The world changes, but this pace frightens me
Its ok, but im worried when i get up in the morning
You need to be brave as you look into the future
Many of them go to the clubs
Do some hip hop, damn screw this
I dont care
Though the world that raised me went mad

In my head, memories, positive thoughts
Seeing the moments that were, and now are gone
None are so solid, that time wouldnt crush them

I dont remember that tune playing in my soul anymore
I can only look back, summon the forgotten images
The things that were before, will not happen again today
Nothing will come back on a whim like that
Cheating time, each attempt being a failiure
I look back, and think, did i become a better person
Do i care about the people who screw around behind my back
Are my words still comparable to the page number one
Time changes me, its the influence of society
Do my words make those who are close to me leave
I lose control over myself and my heart is aching
Like everyone, i want to find my haven one day
There are happy moments, and those when you want to cry
There are those that i cannot recollect anymore
Now i dream of having them before my eyes again
I want to look back, cause its a fruit that became ripe over years

I remember moments like parts of a dream, there are so many
Even if i confuse their meaning often
Memories hurt, but nothing else, i think
Maybe their traces will bring me back there one day
Silent, like watter dripping from the sink
And i keep looking out the window
But i know i wont make it
Each of us has his his shortcommings, after all
Full of will to live through new experiences
I stood back, but the world kept rushing
I dont even know when it turned, what for
You know, i prefer the popular road
To be self-confident like Karito
This world is in ruins, again
But this time i will listen.

Dry your eyes and quietly bear this pain with pride
For heaven shall remember the silent and the brave
And promise me, they will never see, the fear within our eyes
My eyes are closed
We will give strength to those who still remain

So bury fear for fate draws near and hide the signs of pain
With noble acts, the bravest souls endure the heart's remains
Discard regret, that in this debt a better world is made
That children of a newer day might remember, and avoid our fate.

PREPARE FOR BATTLE!

And in the fury of this darkest hour we will be your light
You've asked me for my sacrifice and I am Winter born
Without denying, a faith is come that I have never known
I hear the angels call my name and I am Winter born

Hold your head up high-for there is no greater love
Think of the faces of the people you defend
you defend
And promise me, they will never see the tears within our eyes
My eyes are close
Although we are men with mortal sins, angels never cry

So bury fear for fate draws near and hide the signs of pain
With noble acts, the bravest souls endure the heart's remains
Discard regret, that in this debt a better world is made
That children of a newer day might remember, and avoid our fate.

PREPARE FOR BATTLE!

And in the fury of this darkest hour we will be your light
You've asked me for my sacrifice and I am Winter born
Without denying, a faith in god that I have never known
I hear the angels call my name and I am Winter born
And in the fury of this darkest hour
I will be your light
A lifetime for this destiny
For I am Winter born
And in this moment...
I will not run, it is my place to stand
We few shall carry hope
Within our bloodied hands

And in this moment I am ready
Though better men have failed
I will give my life for Love
For I am Winter born

And in the fury of this darkest hour we will be your light
You've asked me for my sacrifice and I am Winter born
Without denying, a faith in man that I have never known
I hear the angels call my name and I am Winter born

And in my dying I'm more alive, than I have ever been
I will make this sacrifice for I am Winter born

I've been listening to a lot of Nine Inch Nails recently, and now it just shifted from Hurt to Terrible Lie.

[Hey God] Why are you doing this to me?
Am I not living up to what I'm supposed to be?
Why am I seething with this animosity?
[Hey God] I think you owe me a great big apology...

Morrissey - The Last Of The Famous International Playboys

"Reggie Kray, do you know my name?
Don't say you don't, please say you do.

I am the last of the famous international playboys.
I am the last of the famous international playboys.

In our lifetime those who kill,
The newsworld hands them stardom.
And these are the ways upon which i raised
I never wanted to kill, I am not naturally evil,
Such things I do just to make myself more attractive to you."

Sympathy for the Devil -Rolling Stones

Please allow me to introduce myself
I'm a man of wealth and taste
I've been around for a long, long year
Stole many a man's soul and faith

I was 'round when Jesus Christ
Had his moment of doubt and pain
Made damn sure that Pilate
Washed his hands and sealed his fate

Pleased to meet you
Hope you guess my name
But what's puzzling you
Is the nature of my game

I stuck around St. Petersburg
When I saw it was a time for a change
Killed the tsar and his ministers
Anastasia screamed in vain

I rode a tank
Held a general's rank
When the blitzkrieg raged
And the bodies stank

Pleased to meet you
Hope you guess my name, oh yeah
Ah, what's puzzling you
Is the nature of my game, oh yeah

I watched with glee
While your kings and queens
Fought for ten decades
For the gods they made

I shouted out,
"Who killed the Kennedys?"
When after all
It was you and me

Let me please introduce myself
I'm a man of wealth and taste
And I laid traps for troubadours
Who get killed before they reach Bombay

Pleased to meet you
Hope you guessed my name, oh yeah
But what's puzzling you
Is the nature of my game, oh yeah, get down, baby

Pleased to meet you
Hope you guessed my name, oh yeah
But what's confusing you
Is just the nature of my game

Just as every cop is a criminal
And all the sinners saints
As heads is tails
Just call me Lucifer
'Cause I'm in need of some restraint

So if you meet me
Have some courtesy
Have some sympathy, and some taste
Use all your well-learned politesse
Or I'll lay your soul to waste, um yeah

Pleased to meet you
Hope you guessed my name, um yeah
But what's puzzling you
Is the nature of my game, um mean it, get down

Woo, who
Oh yeah, get on down
Oh yeah
Oh yeah!

Tell me baby, what's my name
Tell me honey, can ya guess my name
Tell me baby, what's my name
I tell you one time, you're to blame

Oh, who
woo, woo
Woo, who
Woo, woo
Woo, who, who
Woo, who, who
Oh, yeah

What's my name
Tell me, baby, what's my name
Tell me, sweetie, what's my name

Get the F*ck Out of my Head -Tim Christensen (Or I was listening to it at a party and am now going through my "record collection" to try and find it, but there are no hits.

Trying to forget all the things I remember
It's never easy to do
Wearing the pain with a smile once again but
All I can think of is you

I wish I knew why my engine is bending
Somebody kick-start me now
Trying so hard but there's no use pretending
You're always there anyhow

Get the **** out of my mind
Try to let me shine without you
Ten steps forward but back nine
Every time I see you
Get the hell out of my dreams
Don't ever take no love for granted - for granted

Reaching tomorrow would be very clever
Who knows what I have in store
But reaching tomorrow could take me forever
When she doesn't care any more

Closing my eyes only makes me see faces
All with the likeness of you
Here's the beginning of my happy ending
Something I want you to do

Get the **** out of my mind
try to let me shine without you
Ten steps forward but back nine
Every time I see you
Get the hell out of my dreams
Don't ever take no love for granted - for granted

So why don't you cry Nelly?
Why do you shine Nelly?
I Can't define it Nelly
Love is a peculiar thing.

Get the **** out of my mind
try to let me shine without you
Ten steps forward but back nine
Every time I see you
Get the hell out of my dreams
Don't ever take no love for granted - for granted

Anarchy in Bedrock by Green Jelly

Anarchy in bedrock, twitch twitch.
[one, two, three, four]
Right now, hahaha..
I am an antichrist
I am an anarchist,
know what I want,
but know how to get it.
want to destroy, mr. slate,
cause I wanna be Fred Flintstone
Anarchy in bedrock,
stop it sometime it makes betty and wilma,
try some flint upside down rubble bubble,
or you can just try fruity pebbles,
cause I wanna be fred flintstone.
in bedrock its the only way to be.
many ways to get what you want,
I use ministry, I use barny rubbles,
I use anarchy,
cause I wanna be, fred flintstone, YA BA DA BA DOO!!
Is this the USPA,
is this holywood,
is this bedrock,
I thought it was hollyrock,
cause I wanna be fred flintstone,
and I wanna be fred flintstone,
and I wanna be fred flintstone.

Oh, and Green Jelly rules, Iam.

Yes it does. I just found out about them recently.

Green Jelly - Three Little Pigs

(Spoken)
Why don't you, sit right back,
and I, I may tell you, a tale.
A tale of three, little pigs,
and a BIG, BAD, WOLFFF.
Well the first little piggy, well he was kinda hick.
He spent most of his days, just a dreamin of the city.
And then one day, he bought a guitar.
He moved to Hollywood, to become a star.
But, living on the farm, he knew nothing of the city.
Built his house out of straw, what a pity.
And then one day, jammin on some chords,
along came the wolf, knocking on his door.
(Chorus)
Little Pig, Little Pig, let me in.
NOT BY THE HAIR OF MY CHINNY, CHIN, CHIN!!
Little Pig, Little Pig, let me in.
NOT BY THE HAIR OF MY CHINNY, CHIN, CHIN!!
Well I'm huffin, I'm puffin, I'll blow your house in.
Huffin, puffin, blow your house in.
Huffin, puffin, blow your house in.
Huffin and a puffin and I'll blow your house in!!!
Well the second little piggy, well he was kinda stoked.
He spent most of his time just a gone just smokin.
Huffin and a puffin down on Venice Beach.
Getting paid money for religious speech.
He built his shelter from what he garbage picked.
Mostly made up of old cans and sticks.
Then one day he was cranking out Bob Marley,
and along came the Wolf on his big bad Harley.
(Chorus)
Well the third little piggy, the grade A student.
His daddy was a rock star, named Pig Nugent.
Earned his Masters Degree, from Harvard College.
Built his house from his architect knowledge.
A tri-level mansion, Hollywood Hills.
Daddy's rock stardom, paid for the bills.
And then one day came the old house smasher
the BIG BAD WOLF THE LITTLE PIGGY SLASHER.
(Chorus)
Well the big bad Wolf,
well he huffed, and he puffed, all that he could.
And low and behold the little piggy's house stood.
IT'S MADE OUT OF CONCRETE! the little piggy shouted.
The wolf just frowned, as he pouted.
So they called nine-eleven, like any piggy would.
The sent out RAMBO, just as fast, as they could.
(Rambo)
YO, WOLF-FACE, I'M YOUR WORST NIGHTMARE, YOUR ASS IS MINE!!!
Well the wolf fell dead as you can plainly see.
So thats to end the story, for you and me.
If you still give a listen, you just may, here a big wolf or little piggy say.
(Chorus)

The Postal Service- "Such Great Heights"

"Such Great Heights"

I am thinking it's a sign that the freckles
In our eyes are mirror images and when
We kiss they're perfectly aligned
And I have to speculate that God himself
Did make us into corresponding shapes like
Puzzle pieces from the clay
And true, it may seem like a stretch, but
Its thoughts like this that catch my troubled
Head when you're away when I am missing you to death
When you are out there on the road for
Several weeks of shows and when you scan
The radio, I hope this song will guide you home

They will see us waving from such great
Heights, 'come down now,' they'll say
But everything looks perfect from far away,
'come down now,' but we'll stay...

I tried my best to leave this all on your
Machine but the persistent beat it sounded
Thin upon listening
And that frankly will not fly. You will hear
The shrillest highs and lowest lows with
The windows down when this is guiding you home

I'm about the last person in the country to find out about them.

Iced Earth - The Coming Curse

I walk the Earth just as they planned
Baptized in fire for my ancient land
The coming curse, your anti-Christ, I am the Watcher's eye
I vindicate and cleanse the Earth of all mankind

For many years, I've walked among you
Through the folds of time and space
Kingdoms fall, leaders die, as I see fit
I devour souls of those that pose a threat

I walk the Earth another day
The wicked one that comes this way
Savior to my own, devil to some
Mankind falls, something wicked comes

I bide my time planning your fate
With bated breath, The Elder wait
The coming curse, your anti-Christ, I am the Watcher's eye
For your crimes on our kind you all will die

I walk the Earth another day
The wicked one that comes this way
Savior to my own, devil to some
Mankind falls, something wicked comes

Forged in the sacred flames
On the sixth day
Of the sixth month
In the sixth hour

I am your anti-Christ, I will destroy mankind
Born of the beast and flames
I will devour, I will divide

Hellfire rages in my eyes
Blood will fall like rain this night
The coming curse, the anti-Christ, I am the Watcher's eye
I vindicate and cleanse the Earth of all mankind

I walk the Earth another day
The wicked one that comes this way
Savior to my own, devil to some
Mankind falls, something wicked comes
