start one thread about the new spammer ignore command and half the posts are amazed at my return. so instead of hijacking that thread i decided to move the other hot topic here. thnx to plasma wisp for the thread's title.
THE TRUTH:
my brother is a MMO producer and being my brother, i support him 100%. so whatever game he's working on i'm there - testing and playing. his games included D&D online and Lord of the Rings Online:duel: . for a while remained in CoH too but i didnt have that many hours a week to play 2 games (big surprise there).
well i wanted to leave my job so needed to start saving money by cutting expenses. everything was slashed and unfortunately CoH fell into the cut pile. perhaps the most painful cut but i managed. missed the game and my friends but i figured it was gonna be temporary.:notme:
the break lasts for a good 6+months until the good folks at cablevision offered me a great package. $30 bucks a month (including tax and fees) for both a cable modem and their internet phone package. $15 bucks each put money back in my pocket and i didnt hesitate to start up CoH acct again in august (it made a nice birthday present for myself) :headbang:
so in summary -
1.5 yrs ago wasnt on as much b/c i split my time among CoH and other games that weren't as good
~8mos ago i cancelled my acct to save money for a RL change
august i came back happier than ever.
absence makes the heart grow fonder is definitely true!:kiss:
Upon returning i FINALLY hit lvl 50 upon my return (only took me 3+ friggin years) so we threw a justice force party. Its good to stand by your SG but when u really want to throw down among a huge crowd, well then u gotta go to guru! besides 80% of my friends outside the JF are also here.
THE FANTASY:
I was abducted by aliens (not rikti - duh, they're not real:P ) who decided to show brainwash me with numerous reruns of the TV series "misfits of science". in my delirious state, their leader tim kring recorded all my ramblings and thus came up with his new show, "heroes". I wont go into how i escaped but without my ramblings Tim now needs to come up with his own ideas for the second season.

its good to be back. dont hesitate to give me a shout out here or in game. global is still @soulshine. post any comments, welcomes or continue the fantasy storyline if u want. who knows, soulshine just might replace chuck norris!
i dont care as long as u follow the CoH credo - have fun.
P.S. for those wondering about the the justice force, we're still going strong - recruiting new members, providing a consistent presence both in-game and out (best guess 40+ active in-game members) while maintaining a close knit, family feel. there's always JFers on, although during the day it gets sketchy.
