So recently, I decided to get back into Coh/v and decided to reinstall my game.

Problem is...my desktop up and died a couple months ago, leaving me with only my laptop.

Before I buy a time card, I wanna know, how will the games run on my machine?

It's a Toshiba Satellite L35, with a Intel Celeron M CPU

I has 894MB of RAM, and has a ATI Radeon Xpress 200M Series video card.

Should it run fine? (all I know is, based on past experiences with it, that it runs Sims 2 fine)

Do I need to make any updates?

You might have a difficult time with your RAM, but aside from that, I've run the game on much less. The only thing I can think of is to kick your RAM up above 1gb of RAM, and you should be able to run the game with minimal settings.

Your ram is going to make you want to kill yourself, kick it up to 2gb and you *should* be fine.

Now, do I have to look for a special type of RAM, made for laptops?

Or can I just walk into BestBuy, give them my computer and say "I want 2gb"

And what about the graphics card? Will the game overall look shoddy, or decent?

Well, you'll need to find out what type of RAM your laptop will take, whether it be DDR, or DDR2. If the laptop is new, it's likely it'll be DDR2, but you'll want to look at your current RAM stick and see what type it is just to be sure.

Make sure you also get SODIMM memory, that's for laptops.

Cool, thanks for your help.

My laptop went back to Toshiba today, there was some problems with the battery pack, but it should be back within the week.

I'll read over the different RAM types while I wait though.

Also, my old desktop had much less RAM then even my laptop does; it had 512, and yet, COH/V ran fine on it.

Your lappy is reading as 894MB of RAM because it's using integrated graphics. Integrated graphics draw from system RAM to use as video memory.

I used the run the game on 512MB and it was nothing unbearable. You should be fine.

Thanks for clearing that up, Istasi.

I can't wait to get my laptop back, and get on the Virtue server again. ahh, good times...
