You're probably right, but remember the movies Peter Jackson had done before LotR? Brett Ratner might be able to do it. It's unlikely, but still.

The difference is that Pete Jackson never had a "real" budget before LotR and still made cool movies ( Braindead/Dead Alive, Meet the Feebles, etc). Ratner is a spoiled Hollywood kid who did have big budgets, but only made mediocre flicks.

Not only Singer switched to Supes, but some of the actors did as well. Kinda funny, you're right.

From what I've heard the reason he was chosen was because he'd follow the script to a slave-like degree, so if the script is good, the movie might not be bad.

well according to Greg..upcoming movies...at least hugh jackman is coming back... for awhile he wasn't going to.. and even halle berry will be ok with having a small part. sounded like only cyclops might not be coming back, and that's just a might. though switching directors all the time do tend to screw up movies.... harry potter 3 is a big one... hated his style, the movie could have been loads better. But if anyone saw on the discovery channel, Dragons: Fantasy made real... oh crap did they look real and those guys are doing the dragons in HP4.. so that part at least will be phenomonal!
