Poll section. :P

Inverted, it seems easier.

That and when I finally figured out (years ago) I was using inverted, and switched to normal, I could never get used to it.

@Solos - Inverted. Up is down, down is up, etc

Isn't normal say camera tilts up and over char and vise versa? Cause thats how I roll

Normal is flight controls, inverted is up=up, etc.

Well, then I voted wrong

No it's not. Inverted in every game is flight controls, CoH is no different.

Actually, CoX is backwards. What they call "Inverted" is normal, and what they call "Normal" is inverted. With inverted controls, pulling down aims you upward and pushing up aims you downward. But CoX considers that the "Normal" mouse control, and it calls the normal mouselook control (push up to look up, pull down to aim down) "Inverted".

It's just another thing that ticks me off. Everytime I create a new character, I have to go through all that nonsense again (which is part of why I don't create very many new characters). We're controlling superhumans, not aircraft. Why should that bass-ackwards "Normal" mouselook option be the default for all characters? :grr:

*wishes that Cryptic would add a Universal control list which would apply to all of a player's characters unless overridden for whatever reason*

Where is the "I don't care" option in the poll? :(

It's just another thing that ticks me off.
And you say I get bent over the craziest things. :P

Shoot, Bloodywedd is a flyer and I still wouldn't dream of using the "Normal" mouselook. Of course, I don't play any Sturmovik like you do, either. :P

Now go give Tilliana some mad skillz, yo. :D

In non-first person mode it's inverted, anyway. :P

You play in first-person? How can you snapshoot any baddies shooting you in the back? :look:

I said NON first person. :p

Maybe later. I'm having too much fun in Statesman's Playhouse right now. Some chowderhead suggested having a "Straight Pride" event... you can imagine the chaos and rage that have erupted. It's the best damn soap opera ever. :D

I don't actually use the mouse for either movement or looking. It's used only for accessing the interface, I use the keyboard for movement.

Insert and delete are set to "look up" and "look down". I don't remember which is which. I don't normally tilt upward to climb while flying, though, I fly up and forward at an angle.

I guess in the end I can't think in 3D. :D

Aw, but thinking in 3D is great for aerial fights! Ask me and Dragonberry about that one. :)

The thing I like about using my mouse to steer is that I can turn a little or a lot, just by how much or how little I move the mouse while holding right-click. The keyboard can only turn or rotate my character at one speed, and that one speed might not work for all situations (especially where either precision or maneuverability are required).

That's what I thought, thats why I voted normal. Inverted is opposite the norm, such as up being up.

It's ironic, no? That gay people can show their pride and have massive events, yet straight people aren't allowed to show pride in their sexuality.

How's that for discrimination?

Yepper.... Nothing funnier than watching people in the majority trying to play the victim card.

Well, I got in the habit because I used a laptop where the touchpad was neither precise nor manueverable. :D

However, in combat I don't typically count on manuevering my character to make an attack. I target the foe I want and let my character do the manuever. Which is probably why I suck at PvP. :D

Inverted, 'cause it's like a FPS.
