History:

Orion grew up a normal happy childhood with very few surprises. His family was not necessarily wealthy but they did live comfortably. He and his brother Jacob both went to a private school just outside of Paragon and both went on to good colleges, Jacob majoring in journalism and Orion majoring in advertising and business.

When Orion was 18 his father, who worked for a law firm and helped many mutants with discrimination cases, was killed when an angered citizen burned down the building after losing to Orion’s father in court. He was never caught.

After college Orion and two of his friends, Michael Viron and Solomon Cross, decided that together they could create an incredibly successful business. Michael had the money, his father was owned a large company but because what they did was not entirely legal, Michael didn’t want to get involved. Solomon was the design man; he had majored in business and economics and always had very new and insightful ideas. They decided that Michael would be the primary because he had contributed the most to their fledgling organization and the other two would become co-vice presidents. They would promote mutants affairs and change the negative image of mutants that many citizens had adopted.

Viron Inc. started out great. The company prospered and they felt as if they were really making a difference and changing the population’s mind about mutants. Everything was going smoothly until Solomon began to get greedy. He felt constantly felt as if he was getting the raw end of the deal but contributing the most to the company. So one night when Michael was leaving the office Solomon attacked him, Michael barely escaped and went to see Orion. Even though he didn’t know who his attacker was he had a strong suspicion that it was Solomon. Orion put his other duties on hold in order to serve as Michael’s body guard. And as expected, Solomon didn’t show up for work the next day or ever again.

Weeks went by without hearing a word from Solomon, and just as Michael and Orion began to let their guard down Solomon struck again. Orion was guarding the bedroom where Michael slept when Solomon snuck in and slit Michael’s throat. Orion, thinking he heard something witnesses Solomon lifting the knife from his friend and boss’s neck. But as he inhaled to let out one of his sonic blasts, Solomon cast a silencing spell on him, rendering his powers useless and allowing Solomon to escape. After calling the police and whispering (he couldn’t talk normally because of the spell) to them with them most of the night, Orion went home, only to find that it had been burnt to the ground. He obviously suspected Solomon. Orion turned out to be the suspect in the investigation because he was the only one they could find evidence of at the crime scene.

He immediately went into hiding. Living wherever he could during the day and emerging at night to look for Solomon and fight crime in Paragon.

NOTES: Please ask questions if you have any. I can be vague when I write so if some piece of information is missing I probably have it filled in for myself but failed to explain it properly or something.

Also I will create The Whailing Wisper in game as a MA/Regen scrapper and play him untill I5 goes live. Then I will recreate him as a Sonic/Sonic Defender with a new name to reflect his new powers with the release of I5.

Thanks

Hm. Hope I'm allowed to make this comment while not actually being an official Bone Squader yet.

Though Wailing Whistle seems like a good character, you've a habit of what I like to call 'character hopping.' You remind me of a friend who just can't seem to keep a solid character going. While this isn't a bad thing, and keeps your sense of creativity going as you strive to find that perfect character, little do you know how much this affects a supergroup. The constant shuffling through a person's characters until he or she finds the one he or she like grows old in two areas: keeping a steady roster and roleplay.

So my question is how do you intend to insure that Wailing Whistle will be a solid , steady character for this supergroup? What if Sonics is entirely different then you intended, and you lose the entire concept and feel of the character just because of that?

First, his name is Wailing Whisper.

Second, I think it is perfectly fine to ask this of me. It is a problem I have been trying to work on and I think Im getting a hold of it.

I completly understand your concern Thresh. I know Ive pissed off many a people with my character swapping. But many of the characters I have swaped were very cardbord and 2D. Many of them were not thought out. I feel like this one is.

In regards to roleplay: The Icons never really had any roleplaying going on. And while I realize it was annoying because of level differences and the roster changes, I never felt as if the character really had any place on the team becaue the team was so stagnant. RP was baisicly nonexistant and I never felt as if I left the team hanging. Maybe I was wrong, but I know members of the Bone Sqaud are active RP'rs in and out of game. I also know I would fell like a real tool if I left the team in the middle of something like their current RP "Older".

In regards to Sonics: After reading the info about sonics from E3 and other sources it seems like a great powerset. Lots of DeBuffs but a few buffs to boot. I also really love the concept of sonics, being able to scream loud enough to knock people over and wreak havoc with their inner ear :D If it really turns out like crap then I could do something like:

"After speaking with Azuria and countless other magical contacts they all determined the spell was of a completly foriegn (sp?) origin and they couldn't remove it. Orion decides to go after Solomon personally, but finds him dead. With no knowledge of the type or origin of the spell Orion continues his to fight crime in Paragon without his sonic powers, and relying completly on his martial arts abilities."

Baisicly I could stick with martial arts and regen.

I have the same question for you, what if archery is broken for some reason or not at all fun to play. What would happen to Alpha Sentry?

Good answers. Thank you. :)

As for Alpha, simply reroll into something else. I've always wanted to do a Dark/Dark Defender. He might be the opportunity. Would definitely have to rework the backstory to Hell and back, but I wouldn't throw out the entire character.

His oficial name (when sonics come out) will be Sonic Riot. Right now I am still debating over names for his MA/Regen alter-ego. I would like to get Orion, but Im almost positive it's taken...
