Solario's random crappy sketches

I maintain the fact that these are sketches and not actual drawings. My sketches aren't that awesome either. Some of them has this weird lean to them, that I apparently first discover, when I'm done with them and/or too tired to do anything about it.

Some Hollis wannabe. A flying one that is. (This picture started as Witch, then turned into a pirate, and when I realised the cape couldn't look like that, had she been standing on the ground, I made it a flying superhero pirate.)

My evil Scientist Mastermind. But decapitated. If anyone asks that's a head profile of him and the other thing is his flying suit with out a user apparently. (actually the paper quality was so bad by his head, because I kept erasing, that I couldn't draw anything mildly decent on it.)

In all seriousness though, that first drawing, although I forget when you sent me it, you did ages ago, one of the first you did of Got anyway, and certainly the first you ever did of him in some rather fetching lingerie (although, judging by this glowy-handed fiend, you probably have a plethora more adorning your walls :eyebrow: ) .

Anyway, that compared to the second picture and the stuff you've posted in this thread shows a massive improvement. Keep on drawing, my friend.

To avoid any further Gay Got jokes, I've decided to turn my anger towards a new target, mainly the person we all know as Charon. See Charon decided to post a picture made by me, that's more than a year old, and it truly irks me to look at the old pictures. So in favor of this I started thinking: "How can I hurt Charon on not only an astetic level, but also an emotional one?" My answer came, when I read an article (http://www.wizarduniverse.com/magazines/wizard/WZ20050525-robin.cfm) about the new Teen Titans. Drawn by the beloved Rob Liefeld.

While my sketch isn't a step to step guide, I hope it's enough for your enjoyment.

When the gang at CoHguru, mainly Sharon, started reposting dated pictures I had done my first thought was bash his head in with a sledgehammer, having fun. After finding a more productive way to focus my anger, I settle on this gesture. For me this gesture gives some flavor to the character. It says "I'm pissed, I'm angry and I'm ready to polka."

In a later stage, I focused on developing the form, making it clearer and sharpening up the image. I want to emphasize the hand and his mask as elements that add more motion and action to the picture. After a few more tweaks, I was ready to go to the final stage.

For the final stage of the Charon illustration, I concentrated on rendering the entire figure, spotting more black areas, finishing the leg and face details. I tried to give him a slight grin to convey that he's having fun, that he enjoys being Charon. I imagine it must be a kick to be nicknamed Sharon and hang out with Solario and lead the Bone Squad. I add a moon shape behind him and some liquidesque gasses around his feet to add some design and atmosphere.

I like to think of it as Awesome! and Exsssssstreme!

(If anyone here says this is my best picture yet, I swear I'll kill you.)

So basically I've been drawing a little and somehow ended up with a final sketch. (Usually I'm full of halfbaked ideas and drawings.)

So with no further delays, here is Freedom Force's Cockney WWII Card Tossing Brit, Black Jack! (Again it's not very dynamic, but I wasn't sure what it was going to be till I had finished the hand. Also notice how he's not leaning as much as my previous ones.)
