(Something went here, but Wids thought it sucked and deleted it.)
Yeah, it was kind of creepy, in retrospect. Sorry, Lummy. Must have been the Mountain Dew talking. That and I really have a fancy for smart, graceful women, which surely didn't make my lizard brain any more suave or tactful. We're still homeys, right?

Hello, my name is Stan Walker. I used to drink blood to sustain my vampirism, but now I'm feasting on the blood of Christ. If you'll let me in out of the direct sunlight, I can tell you all about the glory of Jesus, and..
*six hours later*
*Stan is rampaging around a flaming house, totally drunk on the "Blood of Christ", bible in hand*

What's funny is that it's probably pretty accurate.

Not to worry, Wids. Honestly I didn't consider it creepy until others pointed it out, and then I was all, "Oh. I guess I can see how someone might consider that creepy if they didn't realize you were kidding."
You were kidding, right? :P

It's a month overdue, but I finally have the pictures up from when I abducted Joe and went to Cape Cod for the weekend (which, incidentally, appears to have thrown the Pwn squad into chaos, but such was not expected).
Naturally since I remembered to bring a camera I forgot to take pictures. Except for the closet.
Behold! Joe standing before the closet with the Stairway to Nowhere!
http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h305/Knightward/DSC00623.jpg
Why we had a closet that had stairs, and why the stairs went nowhere, is beyond me. However, that closet did bring about a great deal of strangness. For example, when I crawled into it I became a feral buffoon halfway into the fetal position.
http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h305/Knightward/DSC00624.jpg
When Joe gave the closet a look however, he just hit his head and thought he was Slaphappy.

Yes, and I remember Stan saying he had to put a towel there because of all the kids that wanted pictures with him. They were like "We don't know who you are but you're cool."

So the wife and I took a week long cruise through the Greek Isles and Croatia. Once we disembarked in Venice we then took a train to Rome and spent five days there. I took over 300 photos, but I've gone through and weeded out the 'bad' shots and made these albums to share with you.
This first one is for the Greek Isles. Some notes here.
1) The site of Olympia on Katakolon is where the original Olympic games were held. The Olympic flame is still lit there with each new Olympics.
2) The Parthenon is under some renovations, so you may see some scaffolding in the background.
http://share.shutterfly.com/action/welcome?sid=8CZMmbVm4bsVu
This second album is the first part of Rome. The first five and a half pages are of the Vatican. Just to warn you, there is a TON of art at the Vatican and it would take 12 YEARS to see it all. So I apologize that I don't have any descriptions of the art here, our tour was three hours and quite frankly, I just couldn't absorb all the information
Also, you won't see any pictures of the Sistine Chapel. The company that did restoration on it in the 80's copyrighted the paintings so now you can't take pictures of it.
http://share.shutterfly.com/action/welcome?sid=8CZMmbVm4bsXE
Okay and the last album is another of Rome. It includes the Colosseum, the Imperial Forum area with the ruins of the Palace of the Vestial Virgins, the Temple of Saturn, the Arch of Constatine. and Palatine Hill. Palatine Hill was where Emperor Nero resided and told the citizens of Rome to build. Also the Circus Maximus area is where the chariot races were held. The Emperor could watch them from Palatine Hill, which are the ruins you'll see in the background.
It also has pics of the Mouth of Truth, which superstition said would bite the hands off liars and the famous Trevi Fountain where you threw a coin in over your shoulder for luck.

Ok, I figured out some more ways to show off my daughter (who is going to start being represented by an agency this Friday or so :) so who knows, maybe she'll have a college fund before she's three hehe) so I apologize for the clicky links to some of the pics before that I've posted, but I think it's nice to be able to just look at things.
So, here's Lillian, my daughter, and yep, I'm in a few pics myself. I look like hell in my own opinion, but I am the stay at home parent so it's kinda my right hehe. ;)
I'll get a pic of Starsha on here like I said before sometime, she's pretty and wonderful and way too good for me, but I'll be good enough for her someday  so enjoy the pics.

Well, I would shave my hair off, but as I said, it's down to around the middle of my butt so it'd take a while to grow back and I think I'd just keep shaving rather than wait the time it'd take for that much length to grow back heh. It's not a fashion thing though, I've just always felt more like "me" with long hair. Eventually though I know I'll want to shave it since I'm the stay at home parent and it can be a pain in the ass (and the appropriate length to be such lol) when the baby decides to grab it, but she's actually gentle like you couldn't believe...for now ;)

I'm not trying to call Hydro out, but this would strike me as extremely disrespectful and in bad taste. In fact, I remember a blow-up between two particular forum members a while back because of just that.
I agree that alot of the comments posted by folks following a female Guru posting pictures can be pretty creepy, for lack of a better term, with Alumette (unfortunately) being the most recent example. I would like to think that if it got to be too much that one of them would say 'Hey, cut that **** out' but i'm not that naive and it's a shame that the reactions of people could and have made a few stop posting pictures in general. There's a difference between thinking to yourself "That woman is attractive" and saying publicly "GAWDDAMN YOU HAWT" which, again, can be very disrespectful. Think about it, if you were walking down the street and saw a couple, you wouldn't try to pick up one of them.
Anyway, just my two cents and I felt i'd be remiss if I didn't say something. Take it for what it's worth.

And just to add my little bit of flame to the fire, I cannot stand people who disrespect women. I have a heard time listening to "rap" (if it can even be called that anymore - these days they sing a word for the entire 3 minutes and make millions) because of the blatant and extreme disrespect towards women.

Not every complimentary comment, creepy or otherwise, is intended to be hitting on women. And when its percieved as such, I think there's a certain sense of insecurity going on with the boyfriend/husband/whatever.
Its not like a "OMG, UR S0 HAWT" or "I'd hit it" comment is going to lure a girl away from her significant other... and really, if it by some freak chance it did coming from an internet forum user, then was she really "his" to begin with?
Compliments are compliments... everything from a crude wolf whistle to a respectful & eloquent statement. Not everyone has a talent for tact, however; and some people come off creepy no matter what they say.

Well, I just wanted to say that, while I think I've seen pics of Lummy before (wouldn't be more than 80% sure so I will say "think") she definately shows a very nice side of herself in that video that makes her seem like she's funloving, energetic and overall a people person with some shyness, so that's what I think is so cute. The whole joke of having her stab me was just my own way of commenting that she seems very likeable, both from what I've talked to of her in-game, in channel and seen her posts here, so I'll summise that thought and just say:
Lummy, you are a cutie and looks like you have a great personality, your hubby is lucky.
Oh, and D-Man and EO have a very nice pic as well! I like couples pics, cause you usually get to see the love or a form of it in the pic (unless they're about to divorce lol) but yeah, you two look great and congrats on being engaged!

Okay, I'm going to give you a glimpse of "bitchy" Lummy here. I realize the argument is old and pretty much dead but [a] I have been sequestered in a theatre without internet access all week, and [b] I'm totally sleep-deprived so I'm crabby. And [c], I've let all this stuff go by before (seems it happens every time I post a freaking picture) without saying anything and frankly I'm just sick of it. So brace yourselves.
If I didn't feel comfortable with what people say in response to my pictures, I wouldn't post them! Alternatively, I would tell people directly, "that creeps me out." As yet, in the pictures I've posted on this thread, over the past 4+ years and 400 or so pages, no one has said a single thing that I've found objectionable.
What DOES happen, and what DOES make me upset, is when people think they have to take it upon themselves to "protect" me from something that I don't find upsetting, by using their own personal ethic which is different from mine. It is disrespectful to me, it is disrespectful to the people who make comments to me, and frankly it's pompous hubris to think that because something bothers YOU, it automatically bothers everyone else (more specifically, that it should bother everyone else and, by extension, there's something wrong with them morally if it doesn't).
The reason I don't post pictures often is not because peoples' comments about the pictures bother me. It's because inevitably there will be judgments made about the commentators, and assumptions made about my personal feelings on the issue. You have no right to assume how someone else makes me feel and then to butt in and mete out judgment for it. I need no champion. No one has shown me any disrespect in this thread, ever. Just because something is outside your comfort zone doesn't mean it is outside mine.
Furthermore, to assume that I somehow am unable to defend myself or make my displeasure known, and require an outside party to do so, in the event that I do encounter disrespect is ridiculous and far more demeaning to me as a woman than anything anyone has ever said in response to a picture (by my own standard, which, since they're my posts and my pictures, is the one that counts here).
To be fair, I'm willing to entertain the idea that you're simply trying to be nice and be an upstanding guy, which is pretty much why I haven't gone off on you about this in the past. However it's reached its limit with me. You want to think I'm a ho-bag for not being bothered by these comments, fine. You're entitled to your opinion and frankly I don't lose much sleep at night worrying about what people think of me. You want to think that your fellow Gurus are slavering horny disrespectful scumbags for making comments about my pictures, fine. You're going to think that no matter what anyhow because that's your worldview. Fair enough. But keep it to yourself because frankly, what people say about my pictures and how I respond to them is my business, not yours.
Yes, Krypto, I'm talking to you. Thank you for letting me get it out of my system.
On a lighter note: yes, EO and D-Man are a beautiful couple. I've seen them up close :) Couldn't agree more. And Lady Grae is absolutely stunning. Nopt, thanks for posting those beautiful pictures of your family. I never took any offense to your comments, so not to worry. :)

So in conclusion, we as men like to ogle you AND use you as a tool to hide behind :)
:( @ Scary Lumy...
...please do not make her angry again. I think I went poo poo just a lil and then started crying...:(

Just because you like the attention doesn't mean everyone else likes the creepy comments. Plenty of other females have been scared off from posting pictures due to them. It doesn't make the comments any less creepy or wrong, just because you don't mind them.

Plenty? Plenty like who? And please do not invalidate Alumette's feelings on the matter just because your opinion differs from hers, and mine, frankly. Its disrespectful.

Just because you think something is wrong doesn't make it wrong. Everyone has the right to say whatever they want.

All I'm saying is, let the level of creepyness or wrongness be decided by each person on an individual basis, not on your own personal standard that you impose on everyone else.
You're saying they're wrong because you think they're wrong, which is a perfectly fine personal perspective. But they are not inherently wrong in and of themselves, any more than I can reasonably say that okra is bad because I don't like it, and plenty of other people don't either.
If people don't want to post because they're creeped out, they won't post. If people don't mind, they will. We don't need you to be the Thought Police for us.
You say it doesn't make the comments any less creepy or wrong because I don't mind them; I say it doesn't make the comments any more creepy or wrong because you do mind them. You see the situation we're in here? We are of differing opinions. Let it be.

Why should he disclose their names? To make them even more awkward?

I'm saying it's wrong because I've had friends driven away from this forum because of comments like that. God forbid we try and keep some standards on this forum.
