TRANSFORMERS
Variety has confirmed the reports that Michael Bay is in talks to direct TRANSFORMERS for DreamWorks. As they put it, the project had stalled until Steven Spielberg hatched a new concept, which current screenwriters Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci developed and pitched to Bay (who worked with them on THE ISLAND). He sparked to the idea and now the two sides are in negotiations with filming scheduled to begin this fall. Bay's deal will be contigent on his approval of the final script, which is due by the end of this month.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
Hey folks, Harry here with my kemosabe Juan who sent in 6 new Character One Sheets for that crazy looking Willy Wonka movie of Tim Burton's. No Slugworth poster? And what about Oompa Loompa poster? Heh. I like this growing habit of tons of one sheet designs for a movie. And while these are portrait posters - I think you'll agree that if you hung them in one room of your house, you'd be driven homicidally insane in just a few minutes of constant exposure. Should make theater lobbies entertaining sport this summer!

Will “X-Men 3” be about Dark Phoenix?
I’m not allowed to say, but your guess is…. it was set up pretty well in the second movie. So, that’s part of the third movie, but there’s a new plot that’s the story of the film.

Invincible Movie optioned by Paramount
BERKELEY, CA -- 4 MARCH, 2005 -- Paramount Pictures has announced the purchase of the film rights to Robert Kirkman and Cory Walker's INVINCIBLE comic book, published monthly by Image Comics. So strong is Kirkman's writing on the book that he has also been tapped to write the screenplay for the film, a rare accomplishment considering this will be Kirkman's first script. Paramount sees the INVINCIBLE movie as a potential franchise starter, and has set the film up with producer Lorenzo Di Bonaventura (who is also listed as a producer for Warner Brothers' CONSTANTINE and Universal's upcoming DOOM).

I've wondered that as far back as the Air Force years.

"We had to choose a villain that represented a proper obstacle in the path of that growth," Raimi said. "And so, though I'd rather not say who Thomas Haden Church is playing just yet—because Sony likes to make a proper presentation to the fans along with Avi Arad from Marvel Comic books—he was chosen because he represented that proper obstacle to ... Peter Parker's growth." Spider-Man 3 is in preproduction now.
Hmm. I don't get who it could be. Closest guess would be *gags* Venom. And yay for six, because that means we can see Harry/Hobgoblin yet!
Oh, wouldn't it be awesome if Spidey Six was with the Sinister Six?

"... at the end of Spider-Man 2, trying to figure out what he lacked as a human being ... never really even dealing with the death of his uncle, just paying down his guilt with every criminal he brings to justice, never really addressing his own guilt that he feels in his heart and coming to terms with it. He's never really looked inside himself. So I think this picture ... he's going to have [to] look a little more inside himself and recognize and deal with some of the deficiencies that he has as a human being."
"Thomas Haden Church ... was chosen because he represented that proper obstacle to ... Peter Parker's growth."
Can, in one movie, Eddie Brock, the symbiote, AND Venom be introduced? I mean, granted, its two hours approx. but... in one movie? I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say the next Spidey might have another villain and our introduction to Brock. I'd like, also, to see Parker get a hold of that symbiote first (maybe not 'Secret Wars' -style, but something more cinema-freidnly) before Brock gets cozy with it. Part of the fun was seeing Parker get a bit out of hand with the black costume before it was rejected.
That's just my opinion, though.
...and, hey -- ya never know. He could end up playing Arcade! :chuckle:

In the FOX cartoon, they had the symbiote introduced as a stowaway on John Jameson's crashed space shuttle, and Spidey found it while helping there. It worked really well in the cartoon, and I know they introduced John for a reason. And it sure wasn't for Man-Wolf.

Church Drops Spider-Man 3 Villain Hints
Source: Abysstare June 17, 2005
Spider-Man 3 star Thomas Haden Church has dropped a few hints about which villain he is playing. 'Abysstare' says...
On page 57 of this week's double issue Entertainment Weekly (#826/827):
EW: After reminding the world he could really act in Sideways, the Oscar nominee will play an undisclosed, top secret villain in 2007's Spider-Man 3. How about a hint?
THC: "He's a horse of many colors."
EW: There are horses in Spider-Man?
THC: "Let's just say he's an amorphous collection of protons, electrons, and neutrons, of different colors."
There's some more, but that's the only part with any clues.

Fox, Marvel say Sony stole ‘X-Men’ ideas
‘Zoom’s Academy’ movie features children with powers
Updated: 4:36 p.m. ET June 21, 2005
LOS ANGELES - Twentieth Century Fox and comic book publisher Marvel Enterprises Tuesday said they sued Sony Pictures and Revolution Studios to thwart the release of “Zoom’s Academy,” a film they say infringes on their popular ”X-Men” feature films.
Both films feature children with special powers feared by the government and shunned by society, who are are taught to harness and develop their abilities in a special school, said Fox in a statement.
The copyright infringement lawsuit, filed Monday in a California federal court, also alleges Sony and Revolution engaged in unfair competition by moving up the release of their film to before the release of “X-3,” the newest “X-Men” installment on May 26, 2006.
Sony Pictures, a unit of Sony Corp., and Revolution Studios both declined to comment.
Twentieth Century Fox is a unit of News Corp.
“Just days after Fox announced ’X3’ would be released on May 26, 2006, Sony and Revolution deliberately moved up ZOOM’s release so that it would come two weeks before, instead of 11 weeks after the release of ’X3’,” the lawsuit stated.
Studios often time releases with an eye to the competition.
Marvel and Fox in their suit asked the court to order Sony and Revolution to remove infringing material from their script and not to market or release their film in a way that unfairly trades off the success of the “X-Men” comics or films.
Fox said Revolution ignored a written warning to stay away from “X-Men” in making its upcoming film, “Zoom’s Academy.”
“Although Revolution changed some parts of the ’ZOOM’ script ... those few cosmetic changes cannot cover up the fact that ’ZOOM’ continues to copy key elements, concepts, themes, characters and story lines from ’X-Men’,” the lawsuit stated.
“Zoom,” a comedy set to star Tim Allen, has not started production yet. “X-Men” and “X2” reportedly grossed more than $700 million worldwide at the box office.

Lacking definite form; shapeless.

Though the words "of different colors" hints at Chameleon...but that doesn't quite make sense....chronologically I think you'd see Reptile....and....hmm...You mean the Lizard, yes? ;)
Actually, chronologically speaking, matching up the timeline of the comics with the timeline of the movie has already failed. The Chameleon was the first villain Spidey encountered in issue #1. The Green Goblin didn't show up until issue #14.
Given what Meltman said just a lil' bit ago, I'm re-establishing my belief that THC will be Sandman. When the news was first broken I figured he'd be Venom, but that was until I learned SPE was planning a total of 6 Spider-Man movies. Because of that, there's probably no rush in getting Venom's story up on the big screen, so they can use other characters in the meantime.
Although now that I think about it, if you look at THC and then at a drawn image of Hydro-Man, they do look awfully similar. Hmmmm..... ;)

Now, they've made their first misstep. Ben Foster has been cast as Angel (http://www.comingsoon.net/news/topnews.php?id=10435). Yuck. Every time I see him smirking on TV or in movies, I just wanna smack that smug, untalented, unfunny, quit-yammering-on-and-on-in-character-and-shut-the-hell-up look off his ugly face.

Comic-Con 2005: Bruce Campbell Rips Hollywood
Campbellisms abound! The B-movie actor torches Tom Cruise, the MPAA, Ben Affleck and Batman Begins.
July 14, 2005 - Complaining that Hollywood is "creatively bankrupt," fan favorite Bruce Campbell ripped into the studio system and the recent spate of summer blockbusters at today's Comic-Con Q&A session. The cult actor cycled through the films that came out this summer and deconstructed each one.
"First of all, every A-movie is a now a B-movie," he said. Any movie that relies on costumes and aliens falls into the latter category, according to Campbell. Speaking about War of the Worlds, he complained that the idea was tired, stating that "every 50 years they do something with that idea."
On Batman Begins, he said "Well, this was a good one. It took 'em five tries." On Bewitched he simply said, "Hollywood has a file drawer 30 years deep." Later in the presentation, he added "I urge you not to support the same horsesh*t you're getting out of Hollywood." Then, tongue firmly in cheek, he added, "Except Sky High," which he appears in.
He didn't hold back comments about other member of the acting fraternity. When asked about Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, he said "Well, I can guarantee that I don't give a rat's ass about them." He repeatedly jabbed at Ashton Kutcher, joking that the actor would reprise his role in the Evil Dead remake. He even called out Ben Affleck more than once, stating "…William Holden can kick Ben Affleck's ass any day of the week."
But his special affection was reserved for the MPAA, which he referred to as "stupid" and "embarrassing." "The MPAA can kiss my ass so hard it can come out the other side." He has no love for network censors, either. He stated that it was wrong that violence is much more acceptable than nudity on television. "You can shoot a boobie, but you can't kiss it."

So the huge San Diego Comic Con was this past weekend. For anyone who doesn't know, this is huge convention for comic books and over the years it has become THE place for Hollywood to premiere film trailers and clips and get initial fan reactions. The attendance this year I believe broke 100K and it was around 94K last year. So usually since it's all comic fans, the word/buzz that comes out of San Diego is usually reliable.
Bryan Singer was there this year and brought the first footage available or shown to the public for Superman Returns.
I got this information from Comics2film.com. A really nice site if you've never been to it.
Posted by Justin on 07/16/05
The King has returned. This morning in Hall H at the Comic Con International, Bryan Singer answered a ton of questions about Superman Returns. The biggest news, however was the footage he brought with him, the fans first substantial glimpse at film he and his team are crafting.
The footage starts out with a montage of Smallville that's absolutely beautiful. Then we get some shots of young Clark busting through the barn roof, and examining his baby ship. We then jump to Matrha Kent and Ben Hubbard in the house staring out the window in horror, apparently looking at Clark's crashing ship. Then there's the shots of Martha approaching the ship. We cut to a shot Singer described in an the Kent Farm blog about Brandon sitting up into the frame in front of the window. We then cut to Metropolis with a lot of shots that look into the relationships between the characters. Superman's return has prompted Perry to tell Lois to write an article about Superman, though she's very opposed to it. Richard White, her current boyfriend also is shown being a bit jealous of Lois having Superman back in her life. We got several shots of Superman and Superman with Lois, and they look absolutely FANTASTIC together. One great quote from Brandon in the clip was "That place was a graveyard. I'm the only one left." One presumes he was talking about Krypton, but we shall all see. Near the end we got some very cool, yet brief shots of Spacey as Luthor holding a Kryptonian crystal in his hand. The big finale was an animated live shot of the storyboard picture that showed Superman hovering over the clouds, but with the added bonus of him streaking down toward the earth, creating a sonic boom on the way. It was amazing.
First impresions were that this film is going to be absolutely huge, and both strong in story and visually stunning. The whole thing had a very nostalgic feel to it, harkening back to the 30's and 40's - the Fleischer influence was very apparent, which makes me a happy SuperFan.
Fan reactions were astounding. After viewing the footage the first time, Singer got a standing ovation, and played it again. It was just as stunning. The buzz all over the Con was about the footage.
What I want to know is, was anybody at the San Diego comic con this year that saw this trailer? Overall, I'm feeling a little better about the film based on this report. Bryan Singer taking footage to the fans to see shows he wants to do the film right. He did the same thing with the first X-Men movie before it came out. So I think if he hears/heard anything that a majority didn't like he'd get it fixed.
There is one story element that has me mad as hell and I'm hoping they change it or take it out altogether.
In his abscense, Lois Lane is dating Perry White's son and she has a child OUT of wedlock. They didn't say if it's White's kid or not, just that she's a single mother when Supes returns. NO, NO, NO. Lois Lane is a strong, intelligent woman who would NOT be stupid enough to have unprotected sex and try to raise a child on her own.

Kind of slow in the movie news biz right now but here's some recent superhero movie related stuff to chew on for now:
Ellen Page (http://www.superherohype.com/news/x-mennews.php?id=3334) has been cast to play Kitty Pryde in the X-Men 3 movie. Apparently the rumor that the role was going to Maggie Grace was never true (http://www.superherohype.com/news/x-mennews.php?id=3363).
The first 4 Batman movies (http://www.superherohype.com/news.php?id=3366) are going to be released as a DVD set on Oct 18. Click the link and scroll down to see all the planned special features.
Still no word on who Thomas Haden Church will be playing in Spider-Man 3. He appeared recently on the Tonight show and said principle photography won't start until January, so we may have to wait until then. :(

Despite this, I'm still a bit skeptical. Something about this seems a little too obvious, like the "accidental" revalation was staged. We haven't heard anything about this recently, so this could be a way for Marvel to renew interest in the guessing game.
Not to mention the second link there states that she hasn't even received the script yet.

Having Topher play venom would bring it more in line with the Normal Spiderman universe they're working with while introducing the characters with more "Ultimate Spiderman" style origins.
However having james Franco be Hobgoblin wouldn't make any sense since the Hobgoblin wasn't Harry Osborn but instead a run of the mill criminal that found a Green Goblin stockpile.

...but if Mary Jane's movie origin (amalgamating with Gwen Stacy) is any indication, it wouldn't be against Raimi's MO (and considering his sincere love and respect for the franchise, not too objectionable) for the Osborn, Green Goblin II, and Hobgoblin characters to be consolidated. Makes it easy for newcomers to swallow, its marketable, and as long as Raimi puts his TLC into it, let's things fall into place so we can get on with the movie. Hope the Bats franchise will use this trick well.

The truth is actually that Boll is making bad movies on purpose. Since they're German productions, if they cost a certain amount and flop, he can set them off against tax liability and actually earns more in the end. American producers on the other end get US contributions for making movies outside the US, so they give a damn if the movie flops. All Boll movies are a big scam.
I'm still surprised he gets people like Kristianna Locken, Ben Kingsley, Michael Madsen, John Rhys-Davies, Ron Pearlman and Jason Stratham to work for him though... :sarcasm:

Some of the trailer I liked (the stuff from the book), but I still think it's a flatout misinterpretation of V and anarchy in general to have so many people dressed up as him, it negates the whole point of individuality in anarchy and the symbol of the actual people rising up against the government, not everyone dressed up the same (as in facists) and everyone being symbols, if everyone can understand me. And the slow motion bull**** has got to go, V's movements are suppose to be swift and graceful and slowmotion in this instant doesn't give off a sense of that. Plus he's suppose to possess superhuman speed and strength, not invulnerability so the point where he's punched in the face and shot at from multiple angles doesn't add up at all.
Meanwhile I heard Hayter's Watchmen script should have be as flawlessly adapted as you can do with a two-three hour movie. So this sort of saddens me.

They Call Him Bruce...
11.30.05
They Call Me Bruce is being produced by Dark Horse Indie, the new joint venture production company created by Dark Horse Entertainment and Image Entertainment. Popular actor and Oregon resident Bruce Campbell (Evil Dead, Army of Darkness) is set to star and direct. He will also produce the project with another Oregon resident, Dark Horse president Mike Richardson.
They Call Me Bruce is the tale of a small town set upon by demons after a group of teen-agers unwittingly unleash an ancient curse. Campbell, playing himself, is kidnapped off the set of a B horror movie and, despite his protestations that he's just an actor, is forced to play the role of his heroic movie character in order to save the town. Mark Verheiden (The Mask, TimeCop) is writing the screenplay. Production is scheduled for early 2006 in southern Oregon.

Although that sucks, I'm kind of glad they pulled the plug. For one, the story sounds stupid, and for two, you really do need the original team to work on it. They were the first to do it, and if you want the true feel of the other two movies you'd have to get it from the original. That's how X3 is going to turn it. It looks good, but it won't have a Bryan Singer feel to it.

From The Anime News Network
Sailor Moon Movie News False
Several news sites have repeated a rumor that the latest issue of Animage reports Lindsay Lohan and Joss Whedon will be involved in a Fox produced live-action Sailor Moon movie. ANN has verified that neither the April nor May issue of Animage says any such thing. Joss Whedon is currently slated to direct the upcoming Wonder Woman movie, due out in 2007. No cast details for that film have been announced.

I'm surprised no one has posted this yet:
http://www.starwars.com/episode-iv/release/video/news20060503.htmlIn response to overwhelming demand, Lucasfilm Ltd. and Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment will release attractively priced individual two-disc releases of Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Each release includes the 2004 digitally remastered version of the movie and, as bonus material, the theatrical edition of the film. That means you'll be able to enjoy Star Wars as it first appeared in 1977, Empire in 1980, and Jedi in 1983.

i found this off of another forum i frequent. comparing it to the trailers and what we already know about the film, i'd say it's probably mostly accurate...
Spiderman 3 spoilers below
SERIOUSLY! DONT READ ON IF YOU DONT WANT IT RUINED FOR YOU!
"The earliest script reports are very accurate, however it was only a rough draft and there have been ALOT of significant changes made.
The first part of the script deals with Peter and MJ's on-going relationship. The first scene has Peter attend one of MJ's stage events. As the audience applauds in approval, we pan up to see Harry Osborn's reveal, leering at Peter.
Next, as Peter and MJ part (MJ getting into a cab driven by Chris Tucker) in a comical moment, Peter removes a ring from his pocket...an engagement ring. As Peter is walking to his apartment, he's attacked by The Goblin (Harry Osborn). After an intense aerial fight sequence that deals with Peter not only trying to save himself from injury but also save his engagement ring. Finally, the fight goes into an alley where Peter creates a web that Harry flies straight into and is knocked unconcious. Peter removes his facial mask to see that it is indeed Harry. Harry, not remembering anything (effects from the human performance enhancers) promises to go get help.
Next we're introduced to Eddie Brock, a rival photographer at the Daily Bugle that always competes with Peter. There is tension between the two from the get-go, mostly on Brock's behalf. JJ informs both men that there is a promotion available, and that the man who gets more incriminating shots of Web-Head will get the job. JJ assigns them both to take pictures at the Spider-Man Appreciation Day event the next day.
Next, we're introduced to Sandman, already equipped with his shape-shifting sand powers. He robs a bank and Spidey is on his tail. In the process, Gwen Stacey is nearly killed only to be saved by Spidey. There is a small moment between her and Spider-Man. Meanwhile, The Sandman has gotten away. We follow Sandman to his grungey home with his wife. We see that he is stealing the money to have a procedure done to cure him of his newfound abilities. He is in direct contact with a man named Justin Hammer about the procedure. (a nod to the Ultimate comics)
We see the arrival of the symbiote to earth, straight out of a 60's sci-fi monster movie as a meteorite lands in central park. Meanwhile, we see Harry, now a full-blown alcoholic, in his father's den. He continues to hear the voice of his father inside his head. He tries to fight it off, but its just too strong. Harry goes into the Goblin lair, only to see his father's reflection in broken glass. Norman tells Harry to avenge him. A pumpkin bomb explodes right next to his face, awaking him, as it was all just a nightmare, and Harry is slumped over a table, an empty bottle of whiskey in hand.
We're re-introduced to Mr. Ditkovich and Ursula as Peter goes to his apartment. Peter and MJ go on a date that night as we soon learn that MJ is having problems with her father, her acting career (not being able to land a movie role) and is perhaps a bit jealous of the fame that her significant other is gaining as Spider-Man. Peter talks about how he revealed himself to her and everything that has happened, before proposing to her. MJ says yes.
Next, Peter is making his way home as the symbiote from the meteor sticks to the bottom of his shoe. He goes back to his apartment, and goes to sleep, as the symbiote manifests itself under his bed and lies in wait.
The next day in Dr. Conners class, Peter and Gwen meet. He begins to tutor her as Brock becomes insanely jealous. We learn that Brock and Gwen are ex's.
At the Spider-Man Appreciation Day event, Peter meets up with MJ. They talk abit as Peter makes sure that MJ assures him she's not upset about the event. Next, Peter quick-changes into Spidey, making his appearance. Gwen, for being saved by Spider-Man, presents him with the key to the city. She also steals one of his patented upside-down kisses. Brock is immediately infuriated. MJ is too discouraged.
The event is interrupted by Sandman, who has hijacked an armored car. Sandman goes at it with Spidey. Spider-Man, attempting to save everyone, is beaten for the time being as Sandman makes a get away. Brock is there to snap pictures of the down-and-out Spidey. We see more tension between Brock and Gwen, as Gwen tells Brock that she never wants to see him again. He immediately blames Spider-Man.
Peter, exhausted, slumps up the stairs in full Spider-Man outfit infront of Ditkovich, who just stares wide-eyed. Peter goes to sleep, as the symbiote attaches itself to him. The screen becomes entirely black. Next, Peter wakes up, hanging upside down above the city. He sees his reflection in the side of a building in the Spider-Man costume, however it has become entirely black (the symbiote suit) Peter learns to control his new suit.
The next morning at the Bugle, JJ is going crazy over the Sandman pictures and Spidey being beaten. In a comedy moment, Hoffman and JJ name the Sandman. JJ praises Brock for his photo's.
Peter wakes up as he realizes he's late for work. He sees that the Symbiote suit will not come off. Hurrying, he rushes out the door. Ditkovich confronts him about Spider-Man, as Peter tells him that Spider-Man comes over every Tuesday night to play poker. Slowly, we start to see the symbiote taking its toll on Peter. He explodes on Dr. Conners in class, and on Aunt May. Meanwhile, we see MJ's father hitting her up for money. Peter gets into a confrontation with him and ends up laying him out. MJ and Peter get into a fight over it. Peter also learns that the symbiote can transform into an article of clothing, in particular a leather jacket and the mask portion of the symbiote actually becomes Peter's hair, turning jet black. His eyes even change. He starts to gain a pale complexion. Peter goes out on a date with Gwen Stacy, and has seemingly become more aggressive even in the courting of women.
Next, we see Peter in the Symbiote suit beating common criminals senseless. It is truly controlling him and turning him evil. All the sudden, a man robs a small store and takes off running as Spidey is on his tail. He chases him into an alley. As Spidey grabs him, he begins having hallucinations of Uncle Ben being killed. Suddenly, the man is his arms becomes the man who shot Uncle Ben. Next, he sees visions of Sandman killing Uncle Ben. All effects of the symbiote. Peter loses control of the suit, growing in size and strength, as his teeth become sharp and long, and a giant tongue comes out of his mouth. He heaves the criminal through the air and starts screaming to get the suit off of him. Peter takes off, jumping from rooftop to rooftop. He lands on power cables and is nearly fried. Peter lands in a graveyard as he crawls through and comes to the grave of Uncle Ben. It is raining heavily as Peter clings to the headstone.
Next, we see Eddie Brock and Gwen. Eddie tries to apologize to Gwen. He tries to force himself on her as she runs out. Brock sees Symbiote Spidey on TV being covered by the news.
Meanwhile, Harry wants to meet MJ. They meet in central park as Harry stalks MJ first. They finally come face-to-face and talk about Peter. This time, its Harry who tries to force himself on MJ as she runs out.
Peter has a nightmare where the symbiote eats him alive. He awakes in a cold sweat, and swings to Dr. Conners lab. Conners takes a sample of the Symbiote and starts to study it. We also see clues of him working on the lizard DNA project to replace his arm. Next, we see Peter and MJ going over wedding details with Aunt May. They come to the conclusion that they simply don't have enough money to give MJ the wedding she wanted (at the top of a green hill like what was said in SM2).
Because of this, Symbiote Spidey robs a bank as Brock is there to get photo's of it. Brock is clearly pulling ahead in JJJ's eyes as Peter rages on JJ and Robbie Robertson. There is another Sandman bank robbery, as the Symbiote suit covers Peter. Spider-Man and Sandman battle, as Sandman makes a crack about he was the first one to get to the bank therefore the money is his! The fight goes down into the subway. The symbiote tells Peter that it was Sandman who murdered Uncle Ben. Sandman is doused with a giant wave of water as Spidey gets away. Sandman reforms at his grungey home.
Meanwhile, there is tension between Gwen Stacey and her father, who is heading a task force to take down Spider-Man. In one scene, Symbiote Spidey actually fights the police. Spidey is shot several times but learns that bullets do not affect the symbiote suit. In the midst of it, Captain Stacey is killed by falling debris. Taking somewhat responsibility for it, Aunt May allows Gwen to stay at her apartment. Gwen gets even closer to Peter, but now hates Spider-Man.
Meanwhile, MJ gives Peter his ring back and tells him she cannot marrie him. With that, MJ gets on a train and leaves New York. We see Peter drop the ring into an incinerator. Next, we see that Dr. Conners has enlisted the help of his good friend, and African-American doctor named Ben Riley, who has tested the symbiote sample and has concluded that its weaknesses are loud sound and heat. Peter, being tortured by the symbiote swings to a cathedral. Meanwhile, Brock follows him. As Peter swings into the belltower, he starts to ring the bell as the symbiote is weakened. He rips it off just as Eddie enters and sees that its Peter. Meanwhile, the symbiote lands on Brock and begins to bond with him. Peter swings off and inside the cathedral, Brock is taken over by the symbiote and he becomes a steaming husk, just as the task force to take down Spider-Man arrives. They enter the cathedral as the husk explodes and VENOM emerges. Venom single-handedly takes out the task force.
HArry still struggles with the voice of his father inside his head. Meanwhile, back at his apartment, and looking at a photo of himself and MJ, Peter realizes that he truly loves her. He meets Gwen at a coffee shop to tell her that he loves MJ when Venom hits the scene. VEnom takes Gwen to the top of a skyscraper. Peter, unable to change into Spider-Man, faces Venom at the top of a skyscraper as the rain pours down, only wearing a hood over his head to protect his identity from Gwen. As Peter and Venom battle, his hood is thrown off as Gwen sees that its Peter. In that split second, Gwen is dropped as Peter has no choice but to try and save her, however her neck is snapped and she dies. She dies in Peter's arms just as police arrive and Venom gets away.
Meanwhile, the symbiote takes complete control of Brock telling him that he needs to kill Spider-Man and Parker. Next, we see Peter at Uncle Ben's gravestone again. Finally, Spider-Man is back in full-swing. Sandman is pulling off his biggest heist yet as Spidey hits the scene. The two battle as it goes to a construction site. Venom hits the scene. Soon, Sandman begins to absorb sand around him as he starts to grow huge. He creates giant sand pits as Spidey jumps over them, with Venom leaping after him, and Sandman slamming down his giant malice and sledgehammer. Soon, Venom has beaten Spider-Man. Sandman attempts to finish him off but Venom takes a bite out of Sandman, killing him, saying that HE is the one who will take out Spider-Man. Just as Venom is about to kill Spider-Man, Harry/Goblin hits the scene. Harry and Spider-Man fight against Venom. Just as Venom is about to deliver the death blow once again to Spider-Man with one of his tentacles, Harry dives in the way and takes the hit. Ben Riley and his team arrive with a supersonic sound device and defeat Venom, as they contain the symbiote. Meanwhile, Harry dies in Peter's arms and tells him that he's his best friend.
The closing scenes show Peter at Harry's funeral. He walks off as roses are dropped on Harry's casket. Pan up to see Norman Osborn, smiling. Next, we see the symbiote being locked up in Ben Riley's lab and labeled as 'VENOM'. The last scene we find Peter and Aunt May ontop of the Empire State Building, she reveals that she's always known that he was Spider-Man. Sirens are heard in the distance as Spider-Man dives off the building and quick-changes into Spidey, swinging off as the credits roll.
(There will be a scene added somewhere into the script that will involve Quentin Beck aka Mystero, who will be played by Bruce Campbell) THis scene will also explain his previous appearances in the Spider-Man films."
It's quoted from someone on imdb. Apparently the script was leaked, but I can't find it anywhere...

i just re-read amazing spiderman issue #200. it deals with spiderman facing off with the robber that killed his uncle. it turns out that he was hired by Mysterio who was working an old folks retirement scheme... at the end of the comic the robber dies of a heart attack (he had a weak heart) and he thought spiderman was going to kill him.
we know that in spiderman 3 that both the actor who portrayed the robber and bruce campbell will be in it. Rumor has it that Bruce will play mysterio to explain his previous roles in the other two movies.
i'm wondering if this comic will be the inspiration for their appearances?

Pretty spot-on; acting can be hard to interpret for some actors. Even with dailies, one can over-analyze or under-analyze. It's just easier to trust the director. There are many ways to act, some can turn it on/off at a flick of a switch and others get into "method acting". In my view, it is easier to go into method acting but their are pitfalls; your emotions can be raw as you bare yourself to an audience and outside stimuli that is not part of your scene/movie can affect you. Most people don't understand this (as with the example Bale yelling at that idiot fidgeting with the lights when such things should be taken care of before shooting a scene). I even know comedy actors can be susceptible to this, as with Belushi and Farley. Method acting, IMO, may be a "cheap" and "easy" way to sell a scene, but it gets the job done.
All people are different. Not everyone can play masterfully with a scene and turn things off and even in these cases, these types of actors run a risk of playing essentially the same character over and over in different movies. Again, while the actor may be to blame for this, the director really shares the lion's share because they either should be actively molding the scene to their tastes or casting another actor/actress. Of course, there are "movie politics" that are sometimes beyond a director's control and how each individual director "works" his movies. Some are dictators and others share a "group dynamic" of sorts and allow various input into scenes from other sources. Again, what works for one director may not work for another.

This I like, but she'd need a good tan and a dye job. Never understood why DC Amazons were 'pale white'.

Javier Bardem Is "Psychologically Locked In" To Star As Roland In The Dark Tower
No, I'm not 100% sure what that means either. But long story short, he's interested! Click for the details..
Last we heard about the planned multi platform adaptation of Stephen King's Dark Tower series was that the lead role of The Gunslinger, Roland Deshcain, was offered to Javier Bardem. Now although we haven't heard anything official from the man himself, producer Brian Glazer tells MTV that he really wants to play the part..
http://www.comicbookmovie.com/images/uploads/Bardem%20Dark%20Tower2.jpg
"'Dark Tower,' Javier Bardem, that's what we're hoping. We're in the process of trying to put that together. Will that make you happy? Will that make MTV happy?"
MTV said yes, it would! Then asked for an update. Has he signed on officially?
"He's locked in psychologically, He really wants to do it, so we're absolutely rooting for him to do it."
There were other names mentioned in connection for the part too. Christian Balehttp://images.intellitxt.com/ast/adTypes/mag-glass_10x10.gif (http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/rorschachsrants/news/?a=31065&t=Javier_Bardem_Is_Psychologically_Locked_In_To_St ar_As_Roland_In_iThe_Dark_Toweri#) among them. But Glazer suggests there is only one man to play their Gun Slinger..
"We're really just focused on Javier right now,"
Bardem is also rumored to be in talks to join Sam Mendes' new Bond movie (http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/rorschachsrants/news/?a=31065&t=Javier_Bardem_Is_Psychologically_Locked_In_To_St ar_As_Roland_In_iThe_Dark_Toweri#) as the villain, so that may be why he is hesitating to commit to the Daek Tower. Which role would you rather see him take?
