Well.....that's a concern I had as well, but I'm still making plans to try to come if it's definately on. If not there's a martial arts camp that weekend that my instructor wants us to go to.

Well it's def. going to happen. Whether or not people decide to come is their choice. I can't make you come and I can convince you how much of a good person I truly am. Those that truly want to come and meet me...will show. Those that are skeptical won't.

Awww thanks Kin. I learned a few tricks in sword fighting actually. Have an old friend in a group(forget what its called) but they teach sword fighting and its country wide. Really cool, if I had the money I would go too!! Till then I learned a few things from him and I practice here and there. I'm much much better with my bow and arrows. I'm a natural with that. Took archery lessons once and they told me that I had lots of skill and wanted to put me in the higher classes. Sadly again no money but I practice with those once in a while.

3 swords, a staff, bow and arrows.

a katana, wakashi, saber.

The katana and wakashi I wield together. I really don't know a certiain style. I know a few things here and there but most are things I made up on my own.

The saber is harder for me to wield right now. It's kinda heavy but man it looks hella cool.

At this moment I don't have anyone to practice with no, but back home I do. A couple people younger then me got into it and asked me to join. It's just something we did when we needed to get things out or bored. We tried to do it at least twice a month.

When did I start....hmmm thats a tough one...I remember being around 17 or so when I picked up a sword and tried out a few things much against my parents will.

I want to get into a group and I'd honestly love to get back into martial arts someday. Was thinking of Tan Sou Do(not sure about spelling). I had to drop my last class for a few reasons but thats a whole differnt story and I don't want to bore people.

Since I write stories as well using swords and bows and such it's good to know how they work and detail how they use them. :)

I was discussing with TW in another thread about hotel reservations and the like. Who's going to need hotels again? I think you guys should ban together and all try live in the same hotel at least. Can someone generate some conversation here.

The days drawn nearer...faster than you think. Again I can house some people, but not all, and I don't know what the other Atl personel are doing but I doubt they'll be housing anyone..unlike myself.

This thing is looking much more doable. See, I had been searching flights, and coming up with around $350 round trip and crap like that. I could drive there for that price. Then I remembered that KC airport is cheaper to fly out of than STL, and guess what? Less than $200 round trip!

Things are looking good for Wolfie attending the Meetup. Only real holdup now: I start in a new position at work next week. The training should be well over by July, but I'll have to ask off from a new boss who may already have folks out at that time... could be tricky, but hopefully everything will work out!

However, lol, in about October anyone in the South Carolina area is welcome to see me graduate. :) More details on that later but for now more testing more training and more physical training. The Holiday Inn Select is a good place..because it's so close to my house. And I'll confuse you with directions and it's easier for me to taxi back and forth. The problem maybe is that it's near the Braves stadium and traffic could be bad at times. It's not like you guys would be staying there much.

Yea the movie was old news. And prolly was pushing it. I wanted to sit down (maybe Up The Creek, Ruby Tuesdays, Steak and Shake.) something along those lines. I can't pay for everyone (unless it's pizza ;) ) and Mazzionios is def. out the question. :shinner:

I have to drop my wife off at airport (she is going to D.C.), my son to Chattanooga, TN (cause there is no way I bringing a 7 year old to this), and I will be there around 10 PM or so.

Ok Just got back from there a while ago. Here are some first impressions of you people:

Quake - Stayed briefly but didn't eat with us, a nice, quiet, unassumming guy that smiles frequently.

SK - Laid back and happy, he is a cool host and all around good fellow.

Tarby - Talkative, but always has something interesting to say. Funny guy.

Afterglow - *really* funny guy. Has this deadpan look so you never are sure if he's sh*tting you or not.

OHW - Kind of quiet, until she gets comfortable, then is interesting to talk to.

Titomancer - cool guy, great to talk to. Him and his girl make a cute couple.

Armor of god - seemed nice but I didn't get to chat with him at all.

I leave anyone out?
