Information that should be stickied for future reference. I know I always have problems finding that char copy tool.
Since Update 2: Shadows of the Past is slated to be released into the test server this month, I thought I'd save this particular section of the forum from being flooded with How To question threads and make a simple easy thread on how to go about these two things.
Test Server
Please follow the directions given here (http://www.cityofheroes.com/news/item238.html).
Helpful Tips:
The Target window is underneath the tab Shortcut.
The tag should look exactly like this: "C: Program FilesCity of HeroesCohUpdater.exe" -test [Do not include the [space] - it is just an indication that you need to have a space after the original Target]
When it asks you to install the test client into the default directory, it is recommended that you chose No. Create a new folder labeled Test (or something that you can remember) and put it in that folder.
Copying Characters
Please follow the directions given here (https://secure.cityofheroes.com/cgi-bin/coh_transfer.pl)
